We suggest using Hi-Yield Indoor/Outdoor Broad Use Insecticide with 10% Permethrin. It can be used on certain edible vegetation not grown for sale. Bifen IT should be applied and dried prior to the entry of the dogs. Once dry, it is safe for their return. It will not reactivate when wet again.Your dog would have to eat a lot of grass most likely to get sick, and he/she would probably get much more sick from the grass then the product. However, of course we recommend anything you can do to minimize your dog from eating the grass.

You should dethatch first and then treat with Bifen IT for increased effectiveness. You should water in the product after application to reach the areas they feed.

We recommend that you either wait at least one year before planting edibles where Bifen IT has been sprayed or that you excavate the soil in the area you want to plant. You can also create raised garden beds where you would be bringing in fresh soil media.
