Bifen IT will treat ticks. You want to mix at a rate of 1fl oz per one gallon of water.

As long as the product does not come into direct contact with the plants, their roots or drip line, you can use the product around the areas safely. Try to spray on a very calm sunny day to allow for less chance of wind drift as you spray and for quicker dry times.

With insecticides you are typically going to only use 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq/ft so you would set the hose end sprayer to 1 ounce to have it distribute at 1 ounce per gallon. You do not dilute the bifen when putting it in the chamber on the hose end sprayer, you put the concentrate directly in the cannister and the tube automatically sucks up however much you have told it to on the dial and disperses it with each gallon that comes through the hose. The down side to using a hose end sprayer is it removes a lot of accuracy with your treatment and wont give you as thorough and even coverage as a hand pump or backpack sprayer would. Either sprayer you use, you will use 1 ounce per gallon of water.

The Bifen would definitely be a great option for most of the pest you are having a problem with. You can use the Bifen in a hand pump sprayer or with a hose end, although you will get more uniform and accurate coverage with a hand pump than you will a hose. You would typically mix 1 ounce to a gallon of water for all the insects in your yard and you can spray the bushes, yard, ornamentals and trees for mosquitoes, spider mites, wasps and regular ants. For fire ants you need to treat a little differently as they are more unique than other ants. The BEST way to control fire ants is with a professional grade bait like the Extinguish Plus Fire Ant Bait. It not only is a food source that they will forage for and bring back into the nest, but it also contains an IGR-birth control-to keep the queen from reproducing. This has been proven to have the most thorough results. If you don't want to use a bait you can use the bifen on the fire ants but you must follow the instructions on the label for drenching each mound with at least 3 gallons of water to get all the way to the bottom of the nest. You cannot use Bifen IT is a propane fogger. The heat will detroy the effectiveness of the product. Youc an use the product in a mist blower such as the Solo 451.

You can absolutely spray the soil with Bifen IT prior to placing down your soil. It will help minimize activity but you will most likely still want to spray over the sod periodically to keep the rest of the population on top of the new sod down.

Bifen IT is a great residual product, but just like any other insecticide, its not going to hold up long term to the environment. Most will give an outdoor residual of at least 30 days, and depending on how much UV rays break it down and rain you get, will determine whether it will last closer to 60 or 90 days. You can treat all the areas you mentioned with the Bifen for almost every insect. If you are looking to treat wood decks for wood destroying insects you would use a product like Boracare and then seal/stain the wood afterwards to keep it in. The Cy Kick CS you have been using is a great product for Scorpions but we do understand the need for more cost effective options. You want to go with a product that will sit on top of the surface better than the Bifen IT. If you dont have any dark surfaces to treat, you could use a product like Cyper WP. It is a wettable powder you would mix with water and spray in the same manor you would the Cy Kick CS. A 1lb jar will yield 24-48 gallons of mixed solution depending on the mix ratio you use. If you do have dark surfaces to treat and you are worried about a visible residue, you could swap to something like Equil Lambda 9.7. The problem with treating for scorpions is they are so difficult to kill that it requires a higher dose of chemical per gallon with most products, and a wider area you have to cover. There is not going to be an huge difference in price between many of the products as they all use roughly the same amounts. The Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion Insecticide is a newer product that is supposed to give a better/faster knock down and a longer residual. It may be worth it to try this product as it will give you a few more gallons of solution than the Cy Kick and you may have to spray less often.

It sounds like the life cycle needs to be interrupted. You may want to use a larvicide. Larvicides- Mosquito larvae will breed wherever suitable water is available, including bird baths, old automobile tires, rain barrels, ponds, abandoned or unused swimming pools (particularly above ground types), ditches, tree holes, roof gutters, flower pots, animal watering troughs, elevator shafts,. If it is not possible to eliminate a particular source, larvicides may be used to kill mosquito larvae before they are able to develop into breeding adults. Larvicides may take the form of either briquettes or granules that are placed in standing water and release chemical for up to 30 days.

You can also mix in Nyguard Igr which will prevent the  larvae from maturing into reproducing adults. Nyguard IGR can also cause sterility and possible death in adult mosquitos.

There are many steps you can take to treat and prevent earwigs and Silverfish. By following the steps in our article you will also help to eliminate the Silverfish as well. You also may want to try a residual spray like Demon WP that is labeled for earwigs and silver fish. You want to spray the entire perimeter indoors and out.

You may want to mix in an IGR to breakdown the reproduction cycle. By mixing Nyguard IGR in with the bifen mixture it will prevent the eggs, larvae or nymphs from maturing into reproductive adults thereby controlling future infestations.NyGuard IGR will cause morphological anomalies or changes and disrupt the expected insects' state of development, leading to sterility or death. Nyguard is also great because it is photostable and will withstand the suns UV rays for up to 6 months.

You can use between .5 and 1 ounce per gallon of water. Depending on how your hose end sprayer is set up, you would need to select one of those two rates on the dial to properly dilute it. Either rate is acceptable for the treatment of springtails.

Yes, Bifen It would be a great choice to treat flies. It dries clear and is odorless. You can apply the mixed solution to lawns, trees, shrubs, indoors. It has a long lasting residual. You may want to retreat during the fly season once every 30 days. Otherwise Bifen has a 3 month residual.

We do not recommend outside of the product label. The manufacturer states to use no more than 1 oz per 1 gallon of water. This product is a residual based product. The residual outdoors is 30 days indoors 90 days. Even if you were to use 4oz, you would still need to reapply per the product label of 30 to 90 days.

What types of pests are you trying to control with Bifen IT?

Bifen IT is labeled to control chiggers and will work great for this use when applied to areas where chiggers harbor.

We do not recommend that you spray Bifen IT or any product on foliage during the hottest, sunniest part of the day. You can use the product during hot temperatures but it should be applied early in the morning or late in the evening before the sun is beating down on the foliage.

Bifen IT is not labeled to be used in ULV applications at all. we would not recommend using it for any ULV applications.
