Bifen IT is not labeled to control slugs. Slugs put down a continuous layer of mucus which makes it impossible for dried deposits of insecticide sprays to reach the actual slug. You will need to use a slug bait such as Sluggo Plus or Hi-Yield Improved Slug and Snail Bait to control the slugs.
Bifen IT cannot be used on areas that will be used for grazing by animals. We do carry other products that can be applied for insect control safely on livestock/livestock areas including Hi-Yield Lawn, Garden, Pet and Livestock Insect Control.
Yes, Bifen IT is labeled for roaches and will kill them. This product is not recommended if you have an active infestation of roaches. If you see an occasional roach, this can be used indoors and outdoors for control. The mixing ratio is 1 fl oz per gallon of water.
Also, please check out our Roach Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent roaches.
You can mix Bifen IT with an herbicide as long as there are no restrictions on the label for the other product that you are using. We recommend performing a small jar test for compatibility any time you are using two new products together for the first time. Be mindful that you are only applying your herbicide in the correct areas.
The shelf life for Bifen IT is 3-5 years from the date of purchase if stored at room temperature.
For most pests, you will use 1 oz. of Bifen IT per gallon of water to cover 1,000 sq ft. Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions.
Bifen IT is safe around pools when used as directed. Once dry rain will not resconstitute it so there is no concern with runoff.
We recommend that you either wait at least one year before planting edibles where Bifen IT has been sprayed or that you excavate the soil in the area you want to plant. You can also create raised garden beds where you would be bringing in fresh soil media.
