No, Bifen Granules are only labeled for insects.
Please check out our Mole Guide for tips on how to treat and prevent moles.
Bifen Granules are not labeled for scorpions. We would recommend using Talstar Xtra Granules instead.
The product label for Bifen Granules does not list any precautions for use on property with a well, but we would suggest not applying within 20 feet of the well just to be safe. Also, if your land slopes towards the well you should not apply granules on the slope in case a hard rain causes the granules to move with the runoff towards the well.
We recommend using Bifen Granules within 3 years of purchase. Unused product should always be stored in a dry place out of direct sunlight and sealed as airtight as possible.
Bifen Granules will kill sod webworms and is one of the most popular ones for them. It will not kill the eggs, though, and no product will do so.
Both Bifen IT and Bifen Granules work great for Sod Webworms. In fact, you could use both. Apply the Granules over the yard and use the Bifen IT to apply to the perimeter of your home and non edible vegetation.
The good thing is that Bifen Granules does not leach into the soil. The bad news is that it is not labeled to be applied in a garden. Since Bifen Granules was applied with off label use, please contact Control Solutions 281-892-2500 for the best advise on their product.
Yes, Bifen Granules will treat ground pearls. You would use at a rate of 2 lbs for every 1000 sq/ft, and retreat once a month for 3 months. Before you treat, please be aware that it is important to know that one of the more common traits with ground pearls is they seem to like soil with low PH levels. We would recommend that you have your soil tested to see what the PH levels are, and get that corrected first and then treat with the Bifen Granules.
Bifen Granules recently had a product label change and the new label no longer lists springtails as a target pest. We recommend Demand G Granules to control springtails and they can be used as a perimeter application or over your entire lawn. Children can safely return to the treated area after it is completely dry.
Bifen Granules are not labeled for use in poultry areas, so we would not suggest it for this use. Regarding other animals, you would need to keep animals out of the treatment area until the granules have been watered in and the application is dry. You could, however, use Bifen IT liquid inseticide, which is labeled for use in poultry houses. You should keep any animals out of the treatment area until the application is dry.
Bifen Granules are an excellent option for ticks in your lawn. You will broadcast them across the lawn and water the product in once it has been applied. This will last approximately 2-3 months in the soil.
No, Bifen Granules are not safe for grazing goats.
We are not sure why Bifen Granules does not have roaches on the label, but it is the same product as Talstar PL Granules, and roaches are listed on the Talstar granule product label. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Roaches for a successful roach control program. We do carry Roach Control Kits.
Bifen L/P Granules should not be used around edible vegetation. They have a residual that will last for up to four months but should be applied at least 10-15 ft outside the drip line of the garden.
Yes, you can absolutely use the Bifen LP Granules on your rock landscaping for further control. Water it in with roughly 1/2 rainfall equivalent and it will slowly break down over about 2 months or so to give continuous insect control. Many customers do the same thing you are with spraying around the foundation as it gives you the ability to get vertical surface treatment and any bushes that may be around as well as long term protection further out with the granules.
Bifen L/P granules and Talstar PL granules contain the same active ingredient, bifenthrin. There are restrictions for certain states for each product based on a state law or manufacturer registration. We can ship the Talstar PL Granules to your state. They will last approximately 2-4 months once applied and watered in (which can be done prior to rainfall). Please refer to the product label for complete application instructions for the insect(s) you are targeting.
Bifen Granules can be applied once every 2-4 months for control of listed pests. For more helpful information, please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Millipedes.
Bifen Granules would not be a good choice to treat for this pest. Talstar P will offer some control if applied to the trees, bushes and grass a few days before the wedding to lower the gnat population in the area. The morning of the wedding you may want to try to use a pyrethrin based product such as Riptide in a mist blower over the whole area which will kill anything that is flying around and help repel the gnats from the area for several hours.
The only product that we carry that has more of the active ingredient bifenthrin in it is Bifen XTS. It is an oil based insecticide that should be used outdoors only for general pest control. Please let us know if you have any additional questions.
