Bifen XTS can be used to control stinkbugs outdoors. Bifen XTS, like most products, is not specifically labeled for stinkbugs because this pest is so new to the industry. Most professionals use the highest allowed usage rate on the product label for the area they are treating when trying to control stinkbugs. You should treat monthly through November for stinkbugs and other overwintering insects. You can start earlier next year around the July or August.
Bifen XTS will kill termites that come in contact with it, and a termite treatment with Bifen XTS will last for 3-5 years. For the best complete prevention and treatment, we recommend that you use Termidor SC. Please visit our Barrier Treatment page for proper application. Once in the ground, Termidor will last for up to 10 years. For either termiticide, you will use 4 gallons of finished solution for every 10 linear feet around the structure you are treating. You can treat any time of year as long as the ground is not frozen, air temperatures are not below freezing, and there is no current precipitation.
Bifen XTS does not stain, but you cannot spray as a broadcast over cement. You can only spray over cracks and crevices and you can spot treat on the structure where the boxelder bugs maybe gathering and trying to get in.
