TRAPPING INSTRUCTIONS

For Pre-baiting

  • Find a location for the trap. Somewhere to prevent it from being tampered.
  • Put something underneath like plywood and paper. 
  • For pre-baiting, open the doors first and loop a cable tire to keep the door open.
  • Then put water and whole corn inside the bait
  • Put corn in the center of the trap
  • Let the birds feel comfortable in using the trap. Once that happens, cut off the cable ties to trap the birds.

Removal of trapped birds

  • Do not leave trapped birds within 24 hours without food and water.
  • Prepare the cage or humane transporters
  • Remove the shade cover to open the top access door.
  • Make sure that the wings of the birds are closed before picking them up.
  • Once picked up, carefully put them into the cage or transporter.
  • Once removal is done, clean the trap for safety measures and disease prevention.
