Will standing water treated with Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP harm cats or dogs if they drink it?
My outside dogs and cats drink from anywhere there is standing water. We try to empty any standing water after it rains, but they always seem to find it. We also collect water in barrels for our greenhouse. If we treat the water with Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP, will the cats and dogs be harmed?

Is Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP treated water safe to use on orchid plants?
I treated my rain barrels with this before asking if it's safe to use on orchids. They are very sensitive to a variety of different chemicals, natural and man made. These orchids are very expensive and I need verification of it's safety.

Can the pouches of Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP be cut open and the contents be sprinkled into bromeliads to control larvae there?
The contents of the pouches seems more finely granulated than the "Mosquito Bits" product. Is that true? Can the pouches be cut open and the contents be sprinkled into bromeliads to control larvae there?

Does Bonide Mosquito Beater work for other aquatic insects? Do the bacteria attack other aquatic flying insects - mayflies etc? We have a major gnat-swarm problem. We sprayed beneficial nematodes (Steinernema feltiae) on the landscaping, but then saw the hundreds of larva in the ponds. Do the nematodes function in water on such insects?

We are unaware of any product that is being marketed for gnat larva in water. We do not think the nematodes can be applied to water as they are a soil dwelling organism. Per the manufacturer, there is no specific shelf life on this product, but they do recommend using it within 7-10 years. Additionally, it should be stored out of direct sunlight and in a temperature controlled environment, away from moisture. They recommend storing it in a Ziploc bag for added moisture protection.

And if not, what would you suggest for fungus gnat control?

Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP is a natural product, however it is for mosquito larvae only in containerized water. This product will not treat or prevent fungus gnats. We do sell Valent Gnatrol Larvicide which is an organic larvicide for fungus gnats that can be used in greenhouses.

It is intended for use in/around all types of containerized standing water sites where mosquitoes breed such as livestock watering troughs, containerized water gardens, flower pots, rain barrels, roof gutters, bird baths etc. For mosquito control near ponds we suggest Ecovia EC. You can also use Altosid Pro-G larvicide granules around the edges of a pond or other natural bodies of water instead. You would apply where the water is about 18 inches deep or less.

Fungus Gnat Control using Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP
I'm currently using Mosquito Bits (4 tbls to a gallon) as a drench on my plants to control fungus gnats. Would this also work as a control? If so, what how many of these packets would I need to add to 5 gallons of water?

Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP are used as is and dropped into water per the product label, they are not mixed with water first and used as a drench.

Is this safe to put in my grand kids kiddie pool in case they happen to accidentally ingest the water from the kiddie pool?

Bonide Mosquito Beater WSP is only for use in unused swimming pools, the water needs to be stagnant for them to breed in. Pools, unless they are neglected, are usually not a source for mosquitoes to develop for this reason.
