To apply as a Stump Treatment: Apply this product undiluted to kill stumps and prevent sprouting. Using the applicator top, completely cover the freshly cut surface.
To use for Vine Control: For best results when treating vines such as poison oak, poison ivy, etc. that grow on or around desirable plants, cut the vine first and treat as directed above for stump treatment. Do not let product contact desirable plants.
To apply as a Foliar Spray: In a hose-end or tank sprayer, mix 8 to 16 tablespoons (4 to 8 fl. oz.) in enough water to make one gallon of spray mixture. Apply at the rate of one gallon spray mixture per 500 sq. ft. Coverage will depend on the amount of foliage to be treated. Apply as a thorough foliage spray to wet all leaves using a coarse spray pattern with low pressure.

I bought this product to kill back this trump tree/vine off of my house. My inconsiderate neighbor planted this trumpet vine on his property years ago, now it looks more like a tree and had grown over the property line onto the roof and windows of my home. He does not maintain it. I had to climb a ladder and spray the vine that was on my side of the property line and it has killed it back. It did not kill the entire vine, but killed it back off of my house. Oh, I used one of those pumping type sprayer with the nozzle like people use to spray for insects.

Will using stump out and vine killer damage or kill the pine trees?
Plan to apply to a freshly cut stump of a evergreen. Near house exterior. Understand will prevent new sprouts. What about the stump attracting termites?
My neighbor's bird of paradise is out of control. After cutting on my side it comes back.
We do not advise of any applications on your neighbors property. Bird of Paradise can be very difficult to kill whether it is a small or large plant. Industry experts have found that watering the surrounding soil, exposing the roots and applying a glyphosate product helps kill and soften the roots making them easier to remove. You want to remove the compact root ball in one piece to prevent regrowth. We recommend consulting with your extension office for further options

Unfortunately, there are not any selective herbicides that list japanese barberry on the product label however Glyhosate and Triclopyr are 2 active ingredients known to be effective in killing it. It is recommended to apply as a foliar spray or as a cut stump application and repeat applications may be needed to new growth.
Please review this article on Japanese Barberry by the Penn State Extension Office on methods of control and treatments.
Bonide Stump Out Stump & Vine Killer should not be used around anything desirable as it can injure other plants if contact is made or if applied within the dripline of the flowers.
The best options for flowerbeds is really handpulling or very carefully spot treating the weeds directly with a non selective product such as Roundup QuickPRO.
We have invasive Crocosmia (corm variety but don't know species). Been removing by hand, but keeps coming back. It tends to grow along tree roots, stealing their water, so not sure if applying this will further harm the trees or nearby lavender and rhodies.
Bonide Stump Out Stump & Vine Killer would also kill the trees this invasive plant is affecting. Your best treatment method is going to be applying a Glyphosate (Roundup) directly to the fresh cut plant. You can use a small paint brush if needed to ensure you apply only to the plant without risking injury to nearby desirable trees, lavender and rhododendrons.
