These are the only things I can put in my rain barrels to keep the skeeters from breeding. The water is still okay for my plants, too. I live in SW Florida and we have lots of rain and mosquitoes.

This site had the best price of the several that I searched. The Mosquito Dunks were recommended to me by our exterminator (he comes annually to spray for ants) because he told me he saw mosquito larvae in a rain barrel we have, and this was the product he recommended. They work fine as far as my limited knowledge goes. They disintegrate over time (some weeks), so you have to keep an eye on them, for replenishing.

I have about 6 feet of standing water in an old closed pool. I was worried about mosquitoes and their nasty viruses. After asking my local pool company about a mosquito repellent, they acted like I was crazy and said there was no such thing. My son in law had told me there was a product used after Katrina in standing water to kill mosquitoes. I did a little research and found this web site. I have no way of judging if the product is working because it is a growth inhibitor but I give thumbs up to the company. They were very easy to order from and prompt in delivery. The dunks themselves are hard cakes that you just toss in the water. It seems to be a good purchase. BTW, I called the pool company and told them about the product.

We place these where ever there is standing water after a rain (i.e. fountains and rain barrels). These start working as soon as the water hits them and we do not have to remember to go out to these areas of ponding after a rain; the dunks help stop mosquitoes before they can become a pest. Also pricing is good - 2X number of dunks compared to price-quantity at home improvement stores.

I put pieces of this all over my yard, in plant saucer, my fountain, birdbaths, any place water collects. I don't have a mosquito problem when I use it & get eaten alive when I don't. Shipping was fast. Everything went very smoothly. This is my second purchase from this company & certainly not my last.

This is not a poison and is not intended to kill mosquitoes. It contains a bacteria which infects mosquito larva, keeping them from growing to adult mosquitoes. If you have a mosquito infestation, it will take 4 to 6 weeks for the adult mosquitoes to die off after treating ALL stagnant water. Then there should be a sharp decline in mosquitoes. It is best to pre-treat or eliminate ponds and any places where water collects before monsoon and mosquito season.

Moved onto a 5acres property and in the beginning of rainy season suffered swarms of mosquitoes. I applied dunks 2 days after rainfall and reapplied if rain fell again to all standing water. The mosquiito population dropped, there was no more swarms

This product works well if used before mosquito larvae grow into devils and leave the water. My cats drink from the pond with no ill effects (my veterinarian recommended the dunks), they are relatively inexpensive and one dunk for my 100 gallon back yard pond lasts almost a month.

Stuff doesn't work I placed one tablet in standing water and Mosquitoes just fly around and never dies, not one dead and there are a lot of flying around from lots of rain we had .

I couldn't be more pleased with the service I received from DoMyOwn.com. I ordered a case of the Mosquito Dunks and just a couple of days later they were delivered to my door. I have water gardens and because of the mosquito scare, I feel it's essential to use some kind of mosquito control and I find these Dunks to be the best for me. I had never ordered from DoMyOwn , previously and was a little reluctant to do so however, my fear was unfounded. I bit the bullet and placed an order for the Dunks because of the price. I felt it very fair and the best I could locate, on line. I will definitely re-order from DoMyOwn and would highly recommend anyone else to do so, also. I don't feel you'll be disappointed.

Love these dunks! They do the job well for our farm without worry of our livestock being harmed. There is one concern that my bee keeper brought to me. He thinks he sees a attrition to our bees and perhaps the dunks are the reasons. We do not have proof of this

I tried every product for months in my most stubborn basement drain that was infested with drain flies and also gets a lot of drip action. These mosquito dunks stopped the flies after two weeks. It's a miracle!

Within a week mosquito population down by 50% using only dunks in problem areas. Highly reccomend, and works even better pairing with Bifen application. 95% reduction with both as long as breeding and landing areas are covered.

I just take a dunk, split it into 5 or 6 pieces, toss one piece into my 15 gallon Water Lily pot, and in 24-48 hours all mosquito larvae are dead. And no need to add more pieces for several months.

These dunks work as expected but they are higher that a couple other sites.
