    My Bug-A-Salt Fly & Bug Salt Gun doesn't seem to be pushing the salt out as fast as it was at first? Should I clean it out somehow?

    My Bug-A-Salt Fly & Bug Salt Gun will not shoot.
    When trigger is pulled the safety moves forward but gun won't shoot.

    Why does the safety re-engage as I pull the trigger before a shot goes out?

    Can I use the Bug-A-Salt gun to control iguanas?

    No, we cannot recommend that you use the Bug-A-Salt Gun for iguanas or any animals other than non-stinging flying insects and other small insects.

    Does the salt come with the guns?
    I bought a Bug a salt 3.00 for my son (his idea not mine), does the salt ammunition come with the gun?

    The Bug-A-Salt Fly & Bug Salt Gun uses regular table salt (not coarse or fine). "Bug A Salt takes about a pinch of salt to create a mini-buckshot effect that knocks flies dead, like a rock salt shotgun on a smaller scale. This bug gun is very simple to operate: simply load the top with table salt, which will give you 50 shots. Then, cock the gun by sliding back the handle. Remove the automatic safety, and the sight should pop up on the top of the gun, indicating the gun is ready to shoot."

    Is it normal for me to be less than a half an inch away and the fly still won't die from the Bug-A-Salt?
    A

    The Bug-A-Salt Gun works optimally at a 3 foot range, so shooting right next to an insect it is actually easier to miss them. You will not get the same spray pattern that you do from a bit farther away. If you are able to get that close, then you can also use a swatter. If you have an ongoing fly problem, then we do have lots of great professional products for a complete treatment.
