Per the product label, applications should be avoided where desirable root zones may extend or in locations where the chemical may be washed or moved into contact with their roots. In areas where Negate 37WG has been applied, do not plant shrubs and trees in treated areas for at least 1 year after the last application or bedding plants for at least 2 years. To treat buttonweed and other broadleaf weeds, hand pulling the weeds or directly spot treating with a non selective herbicide like Roundup Quick Pro is recommended. For grassy weeds, Fusilade II is one of the top choices to kill actively growing grassy weeds in landscape beds, flowers, shrubs, bushes, and trees and will not injure listed tolerant plants/ornamentals.
