PT Ultracide Pressurized Flea Insecticide is labeled to be used as a direct spray to capets, rugs, upholstered furniture, pet resting areas and pet bedding. As long as you do not overly saturate the surfaces and apply only till the surfaces are slightly damp and then allow the application to completely dry before re-entering, this would be safe for humans and/or pets to re-enter. If there are concerns with prolonged human skin contact after treating, we would recommend placing a blanket on the floor while sitting or laying.
It recommended to vacuum immediately before the treatment and then every other day following the initial treatment. A second treatment is required every 14 days until you are no longer seeing fleas indoors. This can vary from treatment to treatment but most treatments require 3-4 treatments. One 20 fl oz can will treat 2,625 sq. ft.
Also, if you are not treating for fleas outside in the lawn, landscape beds, etc, we would recommend monthly treatments using either Talstar XTRA Granules or a liquid concentrate of Bifen IT and NyGuard IGR to help prevent reinfestation.
