PT Ultracide Spray contains Permethrin and Phenothrin to kill adult fleas fast. It also contains Pyripoxyfen (an insect growth regulator) to prevent reinfestation for up to seven months. Pyripoxyfen penetrates deep into the base of carpet and upholstery fibers, where pre-adult fleas live and targets fleas in the egg and larval stages of development, preventing them from producing new infestations of breeding, biting adults.
While the insect growth regulator in PT Ultracide will continue to work for up to 7 months, it is recommended to re-apply PT Ultracide after 14 days if new fleas continue to emerge. This will increase knock-down of new adults. Preparations and cleaning such as vacuuming thoroughly before and after treatments will also greatly affect the success of Ultracide. See below for complete treatment instructions.
Flea eggs and larvae, adult fleas
PESTS CONTROLLED WITH PT ULTRACIDE: all stages of fleas
For indoor treatment of active flea infestations and to prevent flea infestations from developing. Prevents re-infestation for 7 months. Ultracide is also ideal when treatment is limited to a few areas or the convenience of an aerosol ready-to-use product is desired.
ACTIVE INGREDIENTS: 0.05% Pyrethrins, 0.4% Permethrin, 0.1% Pyripoxyfen
How do I use PT Ultracide Spray to treat for fleas?
Always read the product label completely before use.
Each 20 oz. can of Ultracide covers up to 2,625 square feet. An area of 80 – 100 square feet can be treated in approximately 10 seconds. Keep in mind that most infestations will require at least one follow-up treatment after two weeks.
In and around Apartments, Automobiles, Homes, Hospitals, Hotels, Kennels, Motels, Offices, Schools, Supermarkets, Transportation Equipment (Buses, Boats, Ships, Trains, Trucks), Warehouses, Utilities, Veterinary Clinics and Other Commercial and Industrial Buildings
For flea control, follow the step-by-step directions above. When treating upholstered furniture, treat under cushions and in areas where flea development occurs. Cover aquariums and fish bowls and remove birds from area prior to treating.
PT Ultracide is excellent for porous flooring such as concrete, however it may stain finished flooring, such as hardwoods. Also, fleas will rarely harbor on sealed hardwood flooring.
Fleas may appear for up to two weeks after treatment. This is the pupal window – when younger stages of fleas may still emerge – and the residual activity of PT Ultracide should kill adults which emerge during this time. Frequent vacuuming (every day or every other day) will also help encourage immature fleas to emerge more quickly while also picking up the organic matter on which larvae feed.
PT Ultracide is not intended for use outdoors.

This stuff is great.

As a tech, I do this for a living and Ultracide is the only product I will use for fleas. My company wants us to use other products, but I won't until they stop buying it. Remember to read the label. I also tell my customers to vacuum everyday for the next 2 weeks after using Ultracide, it brings the adults out of the pupa stage and gets rid of them faster!

What a blessing!
By Mary on 10/14/2008
I live in the south where the fleas are quite a bother, and as we have 5 dogs that stay indoors, it has been a job fighting the fleas. We purchased the Ultracide from our local vet and what a blessing it has been. We only used 1/2 a can for our 1400 sq foot house and after just 24 hours our dogs are resting much more comfortably. I have not seen a flea since then and as an added bonus I found that the Ultracide also kills the huge palmetto bugs that plague us here. It is well worth the cost and I have found that I am now saving more money by using the Ultracide as I do not need to purchase the topicals such as Frontline or Advantage. Thank You.

Awesome product
By Lisa on 05/25/2010
I bought this 3 weeks ago, sprayed the entire house, we had fleas really bad...jumping and biting my 10 month old. Pprior to using Ultracide, I had spent alot of money on those bomb things and used them over and over...the fleas would come right back. After spraying Ultracide I have not seen a flea since. I will continue to use this and recommend it highly to anyone.

Great for flea infestation
By Kathleen on 03/23/2011
Best price I could find with free and fast shipping to boot. I have 4 indoor cats that picked up fleas from a visiting dog. Fleas were so bad that I was picking them off of me everywhere I went. Once the cats were treated, I misted all carpeting, baseboards, and upholstery with Ultracide. No need to apply heavily. I immediately noticed a difference. Vacuumed thoroughly the next day. Reapplied Ultracide about a month later. We've been flea-free ever since and the spray can is still at least half full! Would highly recommend this product and this company. However, it is aerosol so remove pets until the mist settles and wear a protective face mask when applying. It's still much more convenient than foggers.

I most recently bought Ultracide from my local pest control store and applied it to my carpets. I have one particular hallway that is the most affected area. It seems all the adult fleas have been killed and now we only see the tiny little fleas. Should I continue to vacuum the rugs to get rid of these little fleas? The pest control person told me to wait at least one week to see if the product truly worked, and I should not vacuum or clean the floors because it would remove the product from the carpets and floors. Is this a good idea since the eggs can lay dormant for some time before hatching?

I am concerned about a chemical application for obvious reasons. If you spray Ultracide aerosol on your carpet, sofa, chairs, bed etc. does it have the potential of making myself children and pets sick? It can't be a good thing. Are there any secret to use this as effectively as possible without harming loved ones?

I have used every "buy it in store" flea killer you could purchase. I even brushed sevens dust in the carpet. It killed most of the fleas, but now I have the little rice larva looking things crawling in my carpets. I have a dog and cat, but he is treated regularly. Any advice on what to buy from you guys? I just want these stupid things GONE.

I've heard that with sprays, they are soaked into the concrete and not as effective.
