Can Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass be safely used on St. Augustine, Bermuda and Zoysia lawns?

What pre emergent can be used on all 3 turfgrasses to prevent weeds from germinating?

Answer:

Southern Ag Atrazine Weed Killer for St Augustine Grass would only be safe for St. Augustine and Centipede lawns, not for use on Zoysia or Bermuda lawns.  Blindside Herbicide WDG would be a selective post emergent labeled for over 70 broadleaf and grassy weeds that is safe for St. Augustine, Zoysia and Bermuda turgrasses.  For selective pre emergent herbicides, either Dimension 2EW or Pendulum 2G would provide broad spectrum pre emergent control of listed weeds on the product label. View our Pre Emergent Guide for addtional information on selecting a pre emergent.  For exact timing recommendations, we suggest contacting your County cooperative extension office for information on estimated timing to apply pre emergents for best results. Post Emergents should be applied anytime the weeds are actively growing when air temperatures are between 65-85 degrees.  Please view our Lawn Care Guide for treatment guides based on some of the most common weeds and product recommendations.
