I have a yellowing Japanese fern tree that was planted one month ago. If using 1 tbsp per gallon of water, can I just pour it into the soil around the base of the tree to add the right amount of iron to prevent this issue?
According to the label, Southern Ag Chelated Liquid Iron can only be applied as a foliar spray for trees and is not intended to be applied as a soil drench.
Fertilome Chelated Iron EDDHA 6% Water Soluble is designed to be mixed with water and poured around the base of flowers, vegetables, ornamentals, plants in containers, lawns, trees, and shrubs. Please view the product label for additional information.
