    Why should I only use Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concetrate six times a year?
    The label on Captain Jacks Deadbug says not to use it more than six times a year. Why not? Don't I need to reapply every time it rains to keep the moths away from my broccoli plants?

    The maximum number of applications per year for products such as Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is determined by the manufacturer and testing regarding what is safe and most effective for application for the listed plants. Using more applications could be ineffective due to a buildup of insect resistance, or it could be unsafe. We always recommend to follow the exact instructions on the product label since this has been tested and approved as the best use.

    How soon after applying Captain Jacks can I apply Neem oil?
    Will applying Neem Iil counteract Captain Jack's Dead Bug? I need to spray for cucumber beetles.I just applied your product last night.

    While the products could be used one after the other, applying Neem Oil (which is a suffocant) over surfaces treated with Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate (which works by ingestion) would null the Captain Jacks as insects would die faster and not be able to ingest it.  We would recommend waiting 7 days to apply Neem.

    Will Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew control Japanese Beetles?

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew is labeled to be used on outdoor ornamentals. Mix the amount of this product specified per pint, quart or gallon of spray and uniformly spray foliage to point of runoff. Uniform coverage of  upper and lower leaf surfaces is essential for effective insect control. See table below or on page 3 of product label.

    16 oz of Spray Solution - .25 fl oz of Capt Jacks Deadbug Brew

    32 oz of Spray Solution - .5 fl oz of Capt Jacks Deadbug Brew

    Can Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate harm plants?
    I sprayed it on my squash plants in the evening, and the next day the treated leaves were dry, brittle and discolored.

    Will Captain Jacks Deadbug kill slugs?

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled to be used for slugs. We recommend you look at the Bonide Bug and Slug Bait. One pound of Bonide Bug & Slug Bait will protect up to 2,000 sq. ft. for up one month. Slugs and snails will die in 3 to 6 days and will many times travel to hidden areas to die.

    Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled to treat for Scale. Sevin Concentrate would be a better option it's labeled for Scale on Azaleas.

    Can I spray Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate on apple blossoms?
    We recently moved and I didn't get the apple tree on the property sprayed before it bloomed. Is it okay to spray Captain Jacks on apple blossoms? If so, how long before I spray again?

    Yes, Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is labeled for use on apples. The product can be used up to 8 times a year. It is recommended to wait at least 10 days before reapplying. This product can be used up until 7 days before harvest.

    Is Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate harmful to earthworms?

    Although Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is not labeled to control earthworms it could harm them if the contact a treated surface/area. That being said earthworms are pretty protected due to the mucus on their bodies so might not be effected by it.

    They have little tiny black fly looking bugs on them when I bring them from outside in the winter time.

It should not hurt the plant and should be treated prior to bringing indoors.     The shelf life of Captain Jacks Deadbug Brew Concentrate is 3-5 years. It should be kept out of extreme temperatures, which are more than 90 degrees Fahrenheit and less than 30 degrees Fahrenheit.
