They are not working
By Catalina on 05/04/2010
I had high expectations but unfortunately..failure. I bought these cause my place of employment was using them for their rodent problem. Well, after one month, neither at my home nor at my workplace, has anyone of these traps caught anything other than dust bunnies and insects. My husband actually saw a mouse scoot through one of these traps without even a whisker getting stuck. They have been ineffective in our battle to get rid of our mice.
Expert response:
It is important to keep these glue boards from getting dusty and full of insects. If the purpose of these boards is to catch mice, you should fold the glueboards so they do not get dusty. If a layer of dust gets on the surface of the glue, they will not be sticky enough to trap a mouse. Also, if the glueboard is catching a lot of insects, then it will deter a mouse from gettting on the glueboard. You can also try a bait in the middle of the glueboard, like some sunflower seeds or a small scoop of chocolate gnutella to entice a rodent on the board. This customer was probably not getting the results they were expecting because they did not switch to newer glueboards after they became dusty and full of insects.

Mice were not attracted to these glue boards at all. They didn't go near them. I've used them flat and also boxed up along the baseboards and in the cupboards of my home. Absolutely no mice activity on any of the boards. They smell nice though. I will not buy these again.

2 weeks, multiple boards, not one mouse caught. I think my mice are too smart for these.
Expert response:
Thank you for your feedback! We recommend placing glue boards in areas where activity is most likely, such as corners, entrances, or other areas you suspect they frequent. This can help improve effectiveness, and insure you are always wearing gloves when placing glue boards. Please let us know if you need further assistance!
Not much luck with Glue Boards
By Regina on 05/26/2009
I've only caught two mice with these and I've put out 25. The mice are pooping on them, so I know they are walking around them. I noticed that they're putting bits of paper in one of the little boxes as if they are making a nest. I just wonder if the glue is sticky enough.
Expert response:
If the boards are placed in a dusty area, the dust may make the board ineffective and the glue not as sticky. Placement is also important. Try placing glue boards about 8 feet apart (don't place too many in the same area), and along a wall or baseboard so that a mouse running along a wall will eventually run right over the board. Finally, while these boards can be folded up into boxes, we recommend using them just laying flat. The box setup works well for catching insects and protecting the glue from dust, while a flat glue board allows mice to more easily run over the board. We appreciate your feedback. Good luck!

not very good

I put 3 in holes where mice came out at roof rafter, mice feet step on and drop down to floor, where it tried to get out of the glue paper. the paper left its feet edges - the layer of glue gone with its feet, which means the glue layer can come out of the paper. fortunately, I have a trap near by that caught the mice. the paper is easy to use and cheap. in my case it acts like a guide to the trap.

This works well for roaches and spiders. Good to have when treating for roaches for monitoring purposes. I haven't had any luck with these for mice. I have seen a few that the mice have gotten stuck on but they all escaped.

Good for trapping insects.

Purchased the glue traps for a rat problem in my garage. The rats would walk over the glue traps and not get caught. Several traps had rat fur, but the rats easily got away. The traps are good for insects such as spiders and roaches as we have noticed them stuck to the traps.
