Climbup Insect Interceptor

Yes they work. I am using Baby Powder in them. They are catching the bugs. They can't get out of the Traps. I am using 3 inch PVC End Caps that you can get at ACE or any Hardware Store to place in the center. This adds more protection and gives the legs something to set in.

A little spendy
By Brian on 10/31/2012
...and I can't really even prove they work. I went with the nuclear option and sprayed everything and tossed box springs, so I haven't trapped any bugs. Still, it seems reasonable they would work. Our infestation (based on horror stories and photos from the web) was mild and caught in it's infancy, so I'm hoping I've crushed the little buggers outright with chemical measures. That said, the peace of mind of the traps is worth it. DON'T FORGET LARGER BEDS HAVE CENTER SUPPORTS. YOU'LL NEED 6 PER BED, not just the 4 corners.

Peace of Mind
By Pru on 06/19/2012
I put felt pads on the bottoms of my metal bedposts to help prevent cracking - seems to be working so far. I think the best thing about this product is the peace of mind one gets. I've not trapped any bedbugs (but many other bugs), so I feel fairly confident that I am rid of them. I also bought the mattress/box spring/pillow protectors, so by using these I am much more comfortable with the situation. I plan to keep the traps on the bedposts, because I travel a fair amount. Will be super cautious now in hotels, bought the luggage liner as well. TAKE PRECAUTIONS!!

Excellent product

Inexpensive, highly effective way to monitor for Bed Bugs. Great for positive ID to determine if treatment is needed, and great for verifying treatment worked. They'll probably even keep the ones not in the bed yet, off of you.

Tested these things out personally on a chair that never gets used the bed bug still tried to make their way up into the chair only to be trapped also note used a small amount of powder in the interceptors and killed them when they were trapped.. great product!

Like Having "Check Point Charley" Under The Feet Of The Bed!
By Marvin on 09/06/2019
We caught 1 critter so far and because we have did our due diligence in DIY treating the house, what stragglers that try to climb up our bed are effectively trapped in the well of the ClimbUp Insect Interceptor!! We then used a tissue to squash and wipe up the pest and dispatch it into the toilet and flush. Gave the trap another wipe to be sure of removing any remains or even any eggs, that are hard to see against the white trap and dispose of that too. We check the traps everyday to monitor for any new visitors. The traps are a welcome defense and help to assuage any fears of invasion in the bed and allow for restful sleep! Also, we make damn sure there are no other ways for the pests to get to us like having NO bedding draping onto the floor, having the bed away from any walls or furniture! The only way they can get onto the bed is by the bed legs but...they are stopped by the ClimbUp Insect Interceptors before that could happen!! Thank you DoMyOwn.com!!!

CAN CIMEXA NE USED IN CAR? I had heat treatment after getting furniture off a shipping truck cross country. My stuff shared a truck with another who was infested . I was bit four days after bringing the stuff inside. Heat treatment worked only 95% the rest was on me and a local exterminator. He uses Crossfire so I bought 8 crossfire and Cimexa and these traps for two beds I have. I also encased all recliners sofa and beds. I HAVE NOT SEEN ANYTHING in 16 months!!! BUT YESTERDAY, I got a tablecloth in a package and a dead bedbug full of blood was in package!!!!! WHAT'S the CHANCE for this to happen to ME when I conquered them 16 months now! I immediately threw it out . BUT white FORCEFULLY CLOSING trash bag I saw something ejected from the bag with tablecloth in. It was the right unfed color, pale yellow but I couldn't see anything on kitchen floor. SINCE YESTERDAY I've frantically laid double sided tape around all furniture and door way jams room to room and taped table , put chairs on top and tape around every leg of everything . ALSO put Cimexa along baseboards as I got trained in all this last year Fortunately my recliner I immediately taped off and others are encased now with perimeter tape around. Still had climb ups on my bed but still taped around those yesterday. Used Cimexa inside cabinets. I still have all shoes in plastic bins the past 16 mos since this began April 4 2020. I've not had ANY LIVE BIG OF ANY KIND SINCE JULY 2020 . I keep Cimex down along baseboards on carpet edges. I put all untensils in baggies. Now I'm WAITING to see if one bedbug escaped the package I got. I'm LITERALLY PRAYING HARD BECAUSE this almost broke me last year. Before I knew of heat I trashed all stuff from truck!!! Keeping the things I encased. I Stripped at the door to put all clothes and shoes in dryer 30 min each time I left house!! For 13 months inside that. I DON'T know WHAT to DO about my CAR because I drove from mailbox home with package in the car and opened in the kitchen. I don't recall IF the package was FULLY sealed or not. IF not THEN ONE OE MORE could have climbed out in my car. I had 8 bites Last year and nothing after heat treatment and all the sprays of Crossfire, and Cimexa both I and exterminator used. PLEASE Help With IDEAS on CAR treatment. It's colder now so sun won't heat up car till summer again. Can CIMEXA BE USED IN CAR?
