    Q
I want to stain a deck infested with capenter bees. Can I apply Cyonara first or stain first?
    A
Cyonara kills as athe bee comes in contact with it. If you were to stain over the treated area, it may cause an adverse effect. We recommend using Boracare to raw untreated wood. After the treated area has dried you can paint, stain, treat with what ever product you chose.

    Q
40 gal. tank mix for grasshopper control using Cyonara in acreage around house
What is the tank mix for a tractor mounted sprayer (40 gal.) for spraying around house and barns for grasshopper control? I need it in ounces per gal.
    A
In ounces you would mix 0.13 - .24 fl oz of Cyonara 9.7 in a min of 2 - 5 galllons per 1000 sqft per the product label.  The amount of water is not as important as making sure you apply the right amount of product per 1000 sqft.

  • Asked by Nick from Gilbert, Arizona

    Q
Good all around insecticide for my yard
I've got a large backyard and I need an effective insecticide for the perimeter of my property. I live in Arizona, so the typical pests are crickets, spiders, roaches, ants, and scorpions. I currently use CyKick around the perimeter of my home and have had great results. Do to the size of the area my trying to cover, using a pump sprayer would take all day. Ideally I'd like to use the insecticide in a hose end type of application. Can you recommend a cost effective product that satisfies these requirements?
    A
We would recommend using Cyonara 9.7 which is used at roughly 1/2 ounce per gallon of water which should be an option or setting on the dial of your hose end sprayer. The Cyonara is microencapsulated like the Cy Kick you have been using so it will hold up well to the outdoor elements in your area in Arizona and will cover a broad range of pest in and around the home and lawn. It is very cost effective in both the 8oz and 32oz sizes.

    Q
Is Cyonara 9.7 safe for horses?
    A

Cyonara 9.7 cannot be applied to any areas where horses will be grazing.  If it is being applied to a non-grazing area, the horses will need to be kept out of the area while the product is being applied and until it is dry.

    Q
Can I use Cyonara 9.7 in the pool area to treat bees and is it hamful for swiming?
I have a neighbor that has a bee hive and they are coming around my pool and are in my rock waterfall.
    A
Cyonara 9.7 Insecticide can be used AROUND your pool, not in it. You will spray around the pool and can use something like Delta Dust in your rock waterfall since it is water proof. It will make it uninhabitable for them to live.

    Q
Can this be used on bed seams and how long is the residual?
For a bed bug problem can we use this on mattresses and box springs? Also, how long is the residual of this product if it has one?
    A
Cyonara 9.7 is not labeled to be used on mattresses. When used as part of a bedbug control program Cyonara should be reapplied every 10-14 days to surfaces allowed on the product label. We recommend Bedlam Plus for use on mattresses and other upholstered furniture.

  • Asked by Jason from Ma
    12/03/2015
    Q
Is Cyonara 9.7 good for mixing with other products?
Is this product good for mixing with Bifen? Essentra IC3? or Talstar?
    A

You should not mix Cyonara 9.7 Insecticide with other pyrethroid concentrates such as Bifen or Talstar. Essentria IC3 is also very similar and should be used as a separate application. Mixing any of these insecticides together would be redundant and may create a repellent effect, causing insects to avoid the area instead of contacting the insecticides.

  • Asked by Ellen from Los Angeles, Ca
    04/17/2016
    Q
How much time before we can expect to see results using Cyonara 9.7?
I purchased Cynoara 9.7 and Gentrol IGR for use in my home for cockroaches. I just wondered what the normal time frame is before we should start to see their population diminishing?
    A

You should start to see results/decline within a few days of applying Cyonara 9.7.  However, the product will only kill the roaches that contact a treated surface and when used alone with an IGR but without baits will not effectively eliminate an infestation completely.  This is because not all roaches come out to contact the treated areas.  It would also be recommended to use a bait such as the MaxForce FC Magnum.  We recommend spraying low around baseboards, under appliances, in corners, around door frames and window frames. Useing the bait up high on counter tops, apply directly into cracks and crevices to get rid of the roaches that live in the walls. The Gentrol IGR will help disrupt the roaches breeding and development cycle, allowing you to get rid of the roaches you currently have before they reproduce out of control while the bait and Cyonara will help to eliminate them together.

We do have a great guide here that further explains "How to Get Rid of Roaches".

  • Asked by Kathleen from Stanford, Ky
    03/04/2018
    Q
How long after exposure to Cyonara 9.7 will a bed bed die?
I bought Cyonara 9.7 to help treat bedbugs, I also got dust and growth regulator, I was wondering if bedbugs die instantly or is it a delayed process after they are sprayed with Cyonara?
    A

Cyonara is not an instant knockdown insecticide. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours for bed bugs that contact the direct spray or treated areas to die, depending on the size and health of the insect and how much active ingredient they contact. Keep in mind that you should plan on doing follow-up treatments for bed bugs until you have had 30 days with no signs of bed bug activity. We have more information and treatment tips in our Bed Bug Treatment Guide online here.

    Q
Is Cyonara 9.7 safe for houseplants?
I need to know if it will harm my ornamental dwarf tree if it gets on the leaves.
    A

Cyonara 9.7 is not labeled for use on houseplants but can be used on ornamentals outside so would not harm the tree when used as directed on the label.  We would recommend moving the plants outside to spray and waiting until dry before placing back inside.

  • Asked by Halan from Phoenix, Az
    08/15/2016
    Q
    Is Cyonara 9.7 micro-encapsulated?
I know it has the same active ingredient as Demand CS, but is it micro-encapsulated like Demand CS. If not, is here a more economical version of Demand CS.
    A

Cyonara 9.7 and Demand CS have the exact same active ingredient, Lambda-Cyhalothrin at the exact same concentration, 9.7%. Cyonara 9.7 is the generic brand of Demand CS and they are very similar. The main difference between the products is that the Demand CS is micro-encapsulated and the Cyonara 9.7 is not. Micro-encapsulation means that the active ingredient is contained in thousands of microscopic capsules that slowly release the product as the capsule dries out after the application. This helps the product be slightly less repellent to insects and helps the product last for a bit longer than other products. Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer.
