Cyonara 9.7 and Demand CS have the exact same active ingredient, Lambda-Cyhalothrin at the exact same concentration, 9.7%. Cyonara 9.7 is the generic brand of Demand CS and they are very similar. The main difference between the products is that the Demand CS is micro-encapsulated and the Cyonara 9.7 is not. Micro-encapsulation means that the active ingredient is contained in thousands of microscopic capsules that slowly release the product as the capsule dries out after the application. This helps the product be slightly less repellent to insects and helps the product last for a bit longer than other products. Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer.
Cyonara is not an instant knockdown insecticide. It could take anywhere from a few minutes to several hours for bed bugs that contact the direct spray or treated areas to die, depending on the size and health of the insect and how much active ingredient they contact. Keep in mind that you should plan on doing follow-up treatments for bed bugs until you have had 30 days with no signs of bed bug activity. We have more information and treatment tips in our Bed Bug Treatment Guide online here.
