Products like Cyper TC should be applied when temps are below 85 degrees.
Yes. Cyper TC can be used with an IGR. Please be sure to read over the IGR label as some can be used indoors only and others can be used indoors and outdoors as well.
Since Cyper TC is not labeled for use on cannabis or any type of edibles, we would recommend discarding any affected plants. Typically, accidental overspray must be rinsed off with water immediately for it to not absorb into leaf foliage. Once the application has dried, it would be too late to rinse off.
For more information or further questions on this, please contact the manufacturer directly at 800-242-5562.
Since Cyper TC is not labeled for edibles we not advise eating anything from that tree for at least a year
We recommend waiting at least one year before consuming any fruit that was contacted by Cyper TC.
Cyper TC is not labeled to be used around anything edible. Any fruit that was contacted should be discarded and not consumed if treated with Cyper TC and no fruit eaten from the tree for at least the growing season.
Cyper TC may be harmful to honeybees if they come into contact with a treated surface. We suggest applying the product when honeybees are not active.
If you are performing a full trenching termite treatment with Cyper TC, then you would reapply that treatment every 3-5 years. For spot treatments where there are live termites, you would apply directly where there is termite activity as needed. Please see our Termite Treatment Guide for more tips, information, and videos about how to perform a termite treatment.
Cyper TC would last in the soil for 5-7 years. Retreatment for subterranean termites can only be performed if there is clear evidence of re-infestation or disruption of the barrier due to construction, excavation, or landscaping and/or evidence of the breakdown of the termiticide barrier in the soil. For termite prevention you would not just spray the foundation of the home. It would need to be applied in a trench around the home to create a barrier for termites to go through. Cyper TC also only kills the termites that contact a treated area. A better product would be to use a nonrepellent like Termidor SC which will transfer back to the colony when the workers go through the soil and back down to the colony. We have a step by step guide that will walk you through how to do your own termite trenching treatment. You can see the guide by clicking on the link here.
Cyper TC is not labeled to treat for red palm weevils. There is not a lot of specific research that has been done on this particular pest, but through product and manufacturer training we have heard that a product containing the active ingredient Imidacloprid such as Adonis 2F would possibly work when using it as a systemic drench around the base of the trees. However, since it is not labeled for this specific pest we can not guarantee the results.
Yes, Cyper TC is labeled for Gypsy Moths (adults and caterpillars), but not their eggs. The females start laying their egg masses aroung July. Soon after laying the eggs, the female gypsy moths die. Their eggs, however, will hatch next spring if they are not found and destroyed. The Cyper TC can be sprayed along the overhang and will kill the adults and caterpillars as long as they come in contact with the residual of the product where it has been sprayed.
Cyper TC is labeled for ambrosia beetles specifically. Once in the tree, Ambrosia Beetles are quite hard to treat for (no cure). We recommend to take down the trees that are already infected and chip them. Then you can protect the other trees by using a systemic product like Imidapro 4SC along with Cyper TC. We highly recommend consulting with a local arborist for further details on this tree and/or surrounding trees.
Yes, you can use Cyper TC for this treatment, but you do need to keep applications at least 20 feet away from the well.
