    Q
How many scoops of Cyper WP should be mixed per gallon of water?

Hi. This is my first time using Cyper WP and I have the one pound container. It came with a scooper, but the package does not state anywhere on how much to use. I am guessing that it is one scoop per gallon. But I do NOT want to guess, so that is why I am asking you how many scoops per gallon?

    A

Each jar of Cyper WP comes with a full product label attached to the the jar. If you take a close look, you will see that you can peel off the label and there is a direction booklet attached. Cyper WP does come with a scooper and you do use one or two level scoops per gallon. Most of the common pests require 1 scoop per gallon of water. If you are treating carpenter ants, carpenter bees, cockroaches, fire ants, scorpions, spiders, ticks or wasps, then you need to use 2 scoops per gallon of water.

    Q
Can you use more than 2 scoops per gallon of Cyper WP?

When I recently used Cyper about a month ago I noticed that the roaches in the kitchen seemed unaffected by it. They literally crawl over where I sprayed unfazed. So I wanted to know is it safe to use 3 cups per gallon of water for this area? All other treated areas in and out the house are clear of everything but the kitchen remains unaffected.

    A
No, you should not use more that 2 scoops of Cyper WP per gallon of water. We strongly recommend you use an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol IGR, to stop the reproductive cyle of those roaches along with a roach bait such as Maxforce FC Magnum for optimal roach elimination. Please read over our Roach Control Article for more helpful hints regarding roach control.

    Q
Can I use 1 scoop of Cyper WP per gallon of water to kill spiders?
    A
Cyper WP should be mixed 2 scoops per gallon per 1,000 sq ft for spider control. It will be applied with a pressurized pump sprayer. Any remaining solution should be discarded after 24 hours of mixing the product.

    Q
How many ounces is one scoop of Cyper WP? What is the recommended mix rate per gallon to treat for borer bees?
    A

The mix rate for Cyper WP for maintenance, more frequent applications & foliar applications is 1 scoop (0.33 oz) per gallon of water. For treating bees outdoors, the product label states 1-2 scoops of Cyper WP  in 1-5 gallons of water per 800-1,600 square feet. See product label for more information.

    Q
No scoop included in our Cyper WP.

What size scoop should we have to use? We have searched through the powder with a gloved hand. We are treating for spiders, so need 2 scoops per gallon. What would be the equivalent in tsp. or Tablespoons? thank you!

    A
We video tape every order as it is being packed for quality control. We went back and reviewed the video of your order being packed and can see that the order packer just placed the scoop into the large shipping box, it was not placed inside the Cyper WP tub. If you still have the shipping box you may want to look inside and under the flaps for the scoop (it is made of a translucent plastic). If you have already tossed the box you can use this guide: 1 scoop is the equivalent to 2 level tablespoons so you will need to use 4 level tablespoons per gallon.

    Q
Can this product be used with a hose end sprayer?

I understand the instructions of use with a canister sprayer. Can this product be used with a hose end sprayer, i.e. Ortho Dial 'N Spray, to cover a larger area quickly? I was specifically thinking to use it the hose end sprayer to create the 6-10 foot barrier around house. I thought the powder could be per-mixed with some water in the sprayer's container, thereby making a concentrate. Is that a viable approach? What would the application rate per gallon need to be?

    A
Cyper WP and other wettable powders are not generally great formulations to use in hose end sprayer because they can clog the sprayer and most hose end sprayers are not calibrated for use with wettable powders. Typically you would want to apply 1 gallon of diluted solution per 1000 square feet of yard.  Each gallon would have one scoop of Cyper WP.  So, if your yard was 2000 square feet, you would place two scoops of Cyper WP in the hose end sprayer, then fill the hose end sprayer to the 2 gallon mark with water.  This should apply one scoop per gallon of water over 1000 square feet.
