    Q
How to kill or control gecko lizards?
Have problem with geckos in garage and attic.
    A

There are no toxic products labeled for geckos, lizards or any reptiles or amphibians, and given the highly beneficial nature of these creatures there is not likely to be any products for them any time soon. The reason they are on your property are because they can find food and proper habitat. Take away their food and they will forage somewhere else. Take away the conditions they need for hiding and they will seek refuge someplace else.

You really have two options here:

1.Exclusion. Total exclusion can be hard to achieve particularly around the roof-line where there are going to be gaps that would be very hard to close off, but there also could be some obvious flaws such as broken vent screens, holes around cables, pipes or wires, or gaps under doors. All of these can easily be closed with brush strips, caulking, copper mesh (Stuf-Fit), or some other suitable material. Exclusion is the best choice, because it is permanent, and eliminates or reduces the problem in the future too.

2.Outdoor habitat modification. In short, get rid of the reasons geckos are there in the first place. They are there because they are finding the food they need to survive (insects) and a place to harbor. If you can eliminate either of these essentials, you can get rid of the geckos. Spray a good residual insecticide such as Cyper WP around the outside of your home to help cut down on the number of insects the geckos are eating. If geckos cannot find enough food they will either move on or starve. Eliminate as much clutter and debris around the outside of your home as possible to eliminate the places geckos like to hide. Rake back mulch or rocks at least 6 inches from the structure.

If you need to get rid of the geckos that are already indoors the only options are catching them by hand or using glue boards placed in areas where the geckos travel.

    Q
Can you please explain the difference between Demon WP and Cyper WP?
    A
There is no difference between Cyper WP and Demon WP other than the fact that Cyper WP is half the price for the same size as Demon WP.  They both contain the same active ingredient and perform the same.  Demon WP is the name brand, the first one made, by Syngenta.  Cyper WP is a generic version made by a different company called Control Solutions.  Just like there are about 10 different brands of aspirin at the grocery store that all do the same thing, pest control products are the same way and there can be multiple manufacturers that essentially make the same product.

    Q
How many scoops of Cyper WP should be mixed per gallon of water?
Hi. This is my first time using Cyper WP and I have the one pound container. It came with a scooper, but the package does not state anywhere on how much to use. I am guessing that it is one scoop per gallon. But I do NOT want to guess, so that is why I am asking you how many scoops per gallon?
    A

Each jar of Cyper WP comes with a full product label attached to the the jar. If you take a close look, you will see that you can peel off the label and there is a direction booklet attached. Cyper WP does come with a scooper and you do use one or two level scoops per gallon. Most of the common pests require 1 scoop per gallon of water. If you are treating carpenter ants, carpenter bees, cockroaches, fire ants, scorpions, spiders, ticks or wasps, then you need to use 2 scoops per gallon of water.

    Q
Is Cyper WP safe to use on a lawn with pets and dogs?
I want to use Cyper WP due to having a lot of spiders at my house. We have found brown widows with their "spikey" eggs. We also have black widows and common house spiders. We have 2 dogs that stay outside and are known to lick, chew and dig in most places. Is it safe to apply Cyper WP in the backyard where the dogs are if I let it dry before putting the dogs back out?
    A

Yes, Cyper WP is perfectly safe to apply around pets and/or children.  When you are applying the product you should do exactly as you suggest, which is keep the pets inside or if applying inside in another room until the product dries.  After it dries which is usually about 30 minutes, it is perfectly safe to allow pets entry back into the yard or living space.

    Q
I have spiders in and on my house. Which product is better for killing them, Cyper WP or Demon WP?
    A
Cyper WP is the generic of Demon WP. Both products contain the same active ingredient in the same concentration. Cypermethrin, the active ingredient in both Cyper WP and Demon WP, is known to be one of the most effective active ingredients for spiders and other hard to kill insects. You might also want to check out our spider control kit, which comes with all the products you need to effectively control spiders.

    Q
Will Cyper WP kill crazy raspberry ants?
    A

Cyper WP will kill any type of ant that you physically spray it on, but the problem with most ants is that the colony is somewhere else.  If you want to get rid of the problem for good you have to get rid of the colony, which is the source of the issue.  We sell a Raspberry/ Caribbean Crazy Ant Kit that has been very popular for these crazy raspberry ants and it includes Termidor SC.  Termidor SC does not kill the ants right away, but it allows them to walk over the barrier you apply around your home, and the ants end up taking the product back to the colony where it spreads like a plague.  It works like a liquid bait.  Residents of Texas have been very successful with this product.

    Q
Does the Termidor SC work on spiders as well as ants and termites? If not, what is a good product for spiders
    A
Termidor SC is labeled for spiders, but is not our first choice for that purpose.  Termidor is the best product on the market for social insects, like termites and ants.  For spiders, you need something with a little more "kick" and also typically a powder works best because it is easier for the spiders to pick up on their bodies.  Cyper WP is a powder that you mix with water and apply using a 1 gallon hand pump sprayer.  We sell Cyper WP in our spider control kit and it is our most popular selling product for spiders and roaches.

    Q
    Does Cyper WP kill scorpions?
    A
Yes, in fact Cyper WP is one of our most popular products for killing scorpions.  You should use the higher concentration (2 scoops per gallon) when spraying for scorpions outside because you need an extra punch for scorpions and large roaches.

    Q
Does Cyper WP Kill or put them to sleep?
I used the product yesterday and last night there were dead roaches outside everywhere. I went to clean up today after work and it seems like there weren't as many dead Roaches around, although still pleased with the results. It was windy today also, so its possible they blew away with the wind. Does this product kill the Roaches or just put them to sleep for a while? I noticed some of the roaches woke up when i was cleaning the area up. - Thank you
    A
Cyper WP does in fact kill the insects. It is a slower kill so you may notice them at the end stage prior to death and some erratic movements can be observed, but it won't be long before they die.

    Q
Best spray insecticide to control Brown Recluse spiders in the home?
I wish to control them in the basement as well as the living area. I've been looking at Demon WP, Suspend SC and Demand CS. I'm wanting something that is residual so I don't have to spray them directly to control them. Would one of these products be better than the other or is there a better choice that I've not listed? Thank you.
    A
Even though Brown Recluse spiders are very scary to have in your house they are no harder to get rid of than any other spider. The hardest part of getting rid of the brown recluse is finding them since they like to remain hidden. Cyper WP would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider control. The active ingredient in Cyper WP is cypermethrin, which is known to be one of the top choices for spider control. Spraying Cyper WP will also help to get rid of the insects that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure.  We have included Cyper in our spider control kit, which also contains glue boards to help monitor the infestation (and help catch the spiders too).

    Q
What can I use to get rid of spiders indoor?
I use Cyper WP for outdoor use. We have some small black spiders. What is safe around people?
    A

Cyper WP can be used indoors and outdoors for spider control. When treating indoors be sure that all pets and other people are out of the application area and they can return as soon as the area is dry. The Cyper WP product label recommends 2 scoops of product per gallon of water, sprayed directly into cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames and window frames and in places where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure. We have recently added a spider control kit to our website that includes Cyper WP, Cobweb Eliminator and glue boards. Using Cobweb eliminator will help discourage spiders from forming webs on the surfaces that have been sprayed and the glue boards will help trap wandering spiders and help monitor problem areas.

    Q
Will Cyper WP control scorpions in Arizona?
    A

Yes, this product is one of our best sellers for scorpions.  Cyper WP comes with a scooper inside which  you can use to mix one or two scoops with a gallon of water in your hand pump sprayer.  For scorpions you need to pack a punch, so we recommend using 2 scoops per gallon of water.  Apply around the foundation of the home outside once a month.  This will keep a good residual present and you will see a huge difference with your scorpion issue.  Even though this product packs a punch for scorpions, it is perfectly safe to have children and pets in the yard after the spray dries.  It is only strong enough to kill smaller bugs and insects. Below is a great article on the control of scorpions.

Cyper WP was discontinued in the 1lb jar size by the manufactuer as it was being misused. We still offer it in the envelope size. You can still use the jar that you have for it to be effective. Please let us know if you need anything else.

    Inside alternative to Cyper WP
I have been using Cyper WP for pest control for years now. We just had hardwood floors installed and the Cyper WP leaves a white residue all over it. Is there a recommended inside alternative to Cyper WP I can use?
    A
Our most popular general use product is called Talstar.  It is widely used by pest control companies because it is labeled for almost every insect you could have a problem with and you can use it outside the home as well as inside, it is odorless and very safe for use around children and pets.  It will dry clear and be a great alternative inside.

Cyper WP works great on roaches. However, we highly encourage you to use an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol Point Source to prevent roaches from reproducing which will lessen the time it takes to gain complete control.
