    Q
Is Cyper WP safe to use on cedar siding without staining, spotting or discoloring the wood?
    A
Cyper WP will not stain any surface, however since it starts out as a powder prior to mixing, it can leave behind a noticible residue on dark surfaces where it dries back in a some what powdery form. If this residue (which is not permanent) is unwanted, we suggests something like the Demon MAX which carries the same active ingredient as the Cyper WP but will dry completely clear. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

    Q
Spiders and earwigs and little black all seem to come in and I riddex. What can I do to keep them away?
    A
Cyper WP can be used indoors and outdoors for spider, earwig and general pest control. Cyper Wp is a wettable powder formulation which stands up well to moisture, heat and sun. When treating indoors be sure that all pets and other people are out of the application area and they can return as soon as the area is dry. The Cyper WP product label recommends 2 scoops of product per gallon of water, sprayed directly into cracks and crevices, under appliances, around door frames and window frames and in places where utilities (cables, pipes, wires) enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure.

    Q
Can I use 1 scoop of Cyper WP per gallon of water to kill spiders?
    A
Cyper WP should be mixed 2 scoops per gallon per 1,000 sq ft for spider control. It will be applied with a pressurized pump sprayer. Any remaining solution should be discarded after 24 hours of mixing the product.

    Q
    Inside alternative to Cyper WP
I have been using Cyper WP for pest control for years now. We just had hardwood floors installed and the Cyper WP leaves a white residue all over it. Is there a recommended inside alternative to Cyper WP I can use?
    A
Our most popular general use product is called Talstar.  It is widely used by pest control companies because it is labeled for almost every insect you could have a problem with and you can use it outside the home as well as inside, it is odorless and very safe for use around children and pets.  It will dry clear and be a great alternative inside.

    Q
Does Cyper WP have a fast knockdown effect on house flies? What the best product for fast knockdown of flies?
    A
While Cyper WP will kill any house flies that land on a surface that has been treated with it, there are some other products that may be better for your situation. Can you please tell us where you are trying to control the fly problem and what kind of property you have (ie: home, business, farm)? We may be able to give a more specific solution to your fly problem knowing more about your situation.

    Q
How to treat spider infestation in old house
I have read a number of the questions regarding treating for spiders with Cyper WP. We have an old house, with basement + 3 floors. Many of the spiders seem to be present along the ceilings, and I believe their nests may be present between the floors. They seem to access house via openings from ceiling light fixtures, smoke alarms, and possibly from duct openings. It seems like it would be difficult to 'spray' into the joist space between ceiling and floor above. Can multiple fogger canisters be used to 'fumigate' the house?? If so, which fogger? We have spiders on all 3 floors of the house, and spraying around the outside doesn't seem like it would help all the inside spaces. Most of the spiders seem to be common house spiders or yellow sac spiders.

Cyper WP would be a great choice for indoor and outdoor spider control. The active ingredient in Cyper WP is cypermethrin, which is known to be one of the top choices for spider control. Spraying Cyper WP will also help to get rid of the insects that spiders feed on and that will help to stop new spiders from moving in. Indoors, spray around all baseboards, door frames, window frames, under appliances, in closets and storage rooms and in areas where utilities enter into the structure. Outdoors you should spray around the bottom of the foundation, on the ground adjacent to the foundation, door frames, window frames and places where the utilities enter into the structure.  We have included Cyper in our spider control kit, which also contains glue boards to help monitor the infestation (and help catch the spiders too).

    Q
Will Cyper Wp treat for bed bugs and mosquitos?
    A
Cyper WP is not labeled to treat for bed bugs. Although it will work great on mosquitos and other insects, we recommend using one of our bed bug kits. We also recommend reviewing our article on treating for Bed bugs. The great thing about our bed bug kits is that you can use the insecticide like Fenvastar in Kit 2 to treat for mosquitos as well.

    Q
After applying Cyper WP outside and letting it dry, can I let my cat outside?
The cat eats vegetation (grass, weeds, etc) that has been sprayed with Cyper WP. I can`t watch cat all the time to keep it from eating sprayed vegetation. I must spray vegetation to establish a perimeter around house to kill scorpions, etc. Is this harmful to my cat? Do you sell a bittering agent I can add to spray? If it rains a day or two after I spray will Cyper WP become toxic to animals when it gets rainsoaked? Thank you.
    A
Cyper WP should be applied when your cat is not in the area and completely dry prior to re-entry. It is safe when dry and will not reactivate when it rains. We do not carry a separate bittering agent to apply to the insecticide. You should apply prior to a rainfall for the most effective pest control. It should not be applied to any edible vegetation.

    Q
Which product has longer residual benefits against wasps, Delta Dust or Cyper WP?
I have an extreme problem with wasps in wood deck and pool fence. I can't let the kids even go out for fear they will disturb a nest. Trying to get ahead of the problem early this year.
    A

You should apply a surface application with a spray such as Cyper WP that is labeled for wasps. This will give you a 30 day residual outdoors. If you know where the nesting location is, you can dust with Delta Dust to offer a longer added residual to the entry of the nest when the wasps are the least active at night. Make sure the kids are not near the treated area during application and until the product dries completely.

    Q
Does Cyper WP Kill or put them to sleep?
I used the product yesterday and last night there were dead roaches outside everywhere. I went to clean up today after work and it seems like there weren't as many dead Roaches around, although still pleased with the results. It was windy today also, so its possible they blew away with the wind. Does this product kill the Roaches or just put them to sleep for a while? I noticed some of the roaches woke up when i was cleaning the area up. - Thank you
    A
Cyper WP does in fact kill the insects. It is a slower kill so you may notice them at the end stage prior to death and some erratic movements can be observed, but it won't be long before they die.

Cyper WP works great on roaches. However, we highly encourage you to use an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol Point Source to prevent roaches from reproducing which will lessen the time it takes to gain complete control.

We apologize but Cyper WP is not labeled for use on dogs nor should dogs come into contact with areas you sprayed until everything has dried. If you are looking for products to treat your pets directly with, you can view the product we carry for that in our Pet Treatment area of our website.

Demon Wp has worked well for me for 4yrs in S. FL. Your out so thought I'd try Cyper wp?
Wondering if the residual ingrd. that helps it stay outdoors is the same. Demon got rid of heavy roach ,spider infestation when I bought my home and has kept it away for 4yrs. I spray inside every 6mos and outside every 3. I did see today that your supposed to spray every month. My bad. I do mix it to the fullest 2 scoops per gallon and I empty a 2gallon sprayer each time around the house perimeter outside. I have a 1000 sq ft ranch home. I do the soffits and down 3ft and then the ground 3ft out and the bottom of the house 3ft up. Seems to be working hoping cyper will work as well?
    A
Yes. Demon Wp 1lb jars have been discontinued. We recommend Cyper in its place. It is considered the "generic" of Demon and will do a fantastic job!

    Q
Can you use more than 2 scoops per gallon of Cyper WP?
When I recently used Cyper about a month ago I noticed that the roaches in the kitchen seemed unaffected by it. They literally crawl over where I sprayed unfazed. So I wanted to know is it safe to use 3 cups per gallon of water for this area? All other treated areas in and out the house are clear of everything but the kitchen remains unaffected.
    A
No, you should not use more that 2 scoops of Cyper WP per gallon of water. We strongly recommend you use an IGR (insect growth regulator) such as Gentrol IGR, to stop the reproductive cyle of those roaches along with a roach bait such as Maxforce FC Magnum for optimal roach elimination. Please read over our Roach Control Article for more helpful hints regarding roach control.

    Q
Best spray insecticide to control Brown Recluse spiders in the home?
I wish to control them in the basement as well as the living area. I've been looking at Demon WP, Suspend SC and Demand CS. I'm wanting something that is residual so I don't have to spray them directly to control them. Would one of these products be better than the other or is there a better choice that I've not listed? Thank you.
    A
Even though Brown Recluse spiders are very scary to have in your house they are no harder to get rid of than any other spider. The hardest part of getting rid of the brown recluse is finding them since they like to remain hidden.

    Q
Is it OK to Remove White Residue left by Cyper WP?
We have been pleased with the results of the Cyper WP, however don't like to see the white residue on our floors. Will mopping up the residue remove the active ingredient and negate our efforts to exterminate?
    A
Cyper WP if mopped up will take any residual up. You would need to treat again after mopping. Please call us at 866-581-7378 if you are interested in a product that dries clear.
