Demon Max can be used under second story porches for spider control. Be sure to mix the product at 1.3 fl oz per gallon of water. This can be done every 21 days as needed.
It will be difficult for any product to last over 30 days in extreme heat and direct sunlight, however, we would recommend an encapsulated product for the longest residual. Demon Max has an oil base, while the Bifen IT is a water-based insecticide (Bifen XTS is oil-based). It may last a bit longer than Bifen IT, but would have similar residual to Bifen XTS. Great options for longer residual in more severe weather would be either Suspend Polyzone or Cyzmic CS.
Yes, if you were to pressure wash an area where Demon Max was applied, you likely will need to reapply. If you can, pressure wash first, and then apply the Demon Max after the area has dried.
Demon Max is an oil based product labeled mostly for use outdoors, with labeling for cracks and crevices indoors. Demon Max can cause staining because of the oil base that it contains. If you are looking for scorpion control for your home you could use Demand CS, Cy-Kick CS or Onslaught FastCap.
Demon Max should not be applied pet bedding, pets or carpet. It is not used for indoor flea eradication. Please take a few moments to review our treatment article on How to Get Rid of Fleas for a successful flea eradication program. We do offer a kit for use inside and out as well as flea products for pets.
Yes, Demon Max is labeled for interior and exterior use and it can be used to control ants, including crazy ants, that come in contact with the treated area. You should try to treat the colony or nesting site directly. Crazy Ant mounds are not readily visible above ground. Possible nesting sites for Crazy Ants include: soil beneath landscape timbers, logs, mulch firewood and other debris. Crazy Ants may also nest inside rotting wood and tree holes. You can read our article on crazy ants for more treatment information: How to Get Rid of Crazy Ants.
Demon Max is not really selective, so it could potentially harm benificial insects such as bees and butterflies. To minimize this risk, apply in the early morning or in the evening when they are least active, and avoid applying directly to any blooms.
Demon Max can be used to treat for flies outside around barns, however it cannot be used in grazing/pasture areas or in any building occupied by animals that are used for food purposes or which product products for human consumption (such as dairy cows, egg-producing chickens, etc.). We recommend using a combination of products including fly baits, fly traps, sprays, and also animal treatment products as needed for fly control. If you would like to tell us more about the specific areas you need to treat, then we can better assist you.
Demon Max is not labeled for bed bugs. Please take a look at our article on How to Get Rid of Bed Bugs for recommended products and treatment advice.
Demon Max can have some knockdown properties, but it is not considered a contact kill product. It is a residual insecticide that once dry will last on the surface 90 days indoors and 30 days outdoors. However, this product is not labeled for gnats. You could use a product like Talstar P. You may want to look over our article on Getting Rid of Gnats for more information.
Demon Max can be used for springtails but it only kills those that contact at treated area. It does not repel them or keep them away. Springtails thrive on excess moisture so eliminating any issues is key to successful elimination.
The maximum rate for general insects using Demon Max is 1 oz per gallon of water, per the product label, depending on the target pest. It is only used at 5.1 fl oz per gallon for a 1% emulsion for maximum control and protection against subterranean termite infestation. Using too much may cause pests to avoid the area rather than coming into contact with the application. We encourage you to wipe off any spray you’ve done, and re-apply at 1 oz per gallon for better results. You may re-apply every 30-90 days.
You cannot use Demon Max or Demon WP to drench for termites around palms, trees, or other plants. This product should not harm ornamental plants, but this is an off-label use and we could not tell you it would be effective. Demon Max can be used to spot treat directly into termite galleries in trees. You would have better success with a non-repellent termiticide, though, such as Termidor Foam, since this product has an active ingredient that will transfer throughout the termite colony.
Demon Max only kills those roaches that contact a treated area and should not be used alone for an effective roach treatment for this reason. Not all roaches come out of hiding to contact where you have sprayed. You should only spray along baseboards and in cracks and crevices when using inside.
One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

Demon Max can be applied with any IGR. However, NyGuard IGR is a great one to mix with the Demon Max. The rate for each would be 3 - 8 mL of Nyguard, 1.3 - 5.1 oz. of Demon Max, and 1 oz of Exciter to 1 gallon of water per 1000 sq ft.
