Product Overview

Doxem T&O Insecticide is a professional suspension concentrate formulated with indoxacarb for control of key chewing insect pests in turfgrass, landscaped areas, and ornamental plantings. As the first liquid indoxacarb labeled for turfgrass, it offers easier mixing and handling than traditional water-dispersible granules while delivering fast knockdown and residual performance on labeled pests.

Doxem T&O works primarily through ingestion. Once consumed, indoxacarb is converted into an active metabolite that disrupts nerve function, causing rapid feeding cessation, paralysis, and death. This mode of action makes it a strong fit for resistance management and IPM programs targeting annual bluegrass weevil, mole crickets, caterpillars, European crane fly larvae, nuisance ants, and other listed pests in cool- and warm-season turf.

Doxem T&O is labeled for use on golf courses, sports fields, residential and commercial lawns, landscaped areas, trees, shrubs, foliage plants, flowers, and non-bearing fruit and nut trees that will not produce a raw agricultural commodity during the season of application. Its stable liquid formulation supports consistent tank mixing and uniform application for turf managers and landscape professionals.

Full Application Instructions

Turfgrass Applications: Doxem T&O may be applied as a foliar or area-wide application to control listed chewing insect pests in turfgrass and landscaped turf areas. Time applications based on pest history, monitoring records, adult trapping, soap flushes, or local extension recommendations. For caterpillars, delay watering and mowing for 24 hours after application. Higher rates may be needed when grass exceeds 1 inch or when pest pressure is severe. For European crane fly larvae and nuisance ants, apply 7.5 to 15 fl oz per acre, using the higher rate for maximum residual effectiveness. For grasshoppers, mole crickets, and annual bluegrass weevil larvae, apply 15 fl oz per acre and irrigate with about 1/8 inch of water immediately after application. Make 1 to 2 applications at 2 to 4 week intervals where allowed and needed.

Annual Bluegrass Weevil Program: For preventive annual bluegrass weevil adult control, apply 15 fl oz per acre, then make the supplemental treatment about three weeks later. For larval control, apply 15 fl oz per acre and water in with 0.05 to 0.1 inch immediately after application.

Landscape and Ornamental Applications: Doxem T&O may be applied as a full coverage foliar spray to landscape and plantscape ornamentals including trees, shrubs, foliage plants, flowers, and eligible non-bearing fruit and nut trees. Target pests include leaf-feeding caterpillars, bagworms, gypsy or spongy moth caterpillars, tent caterpillars, tussock moth caterpillars, yellownecked caterpillars, European pine sawfly, and potato leafhopper. Apply enough water for uniform and complete coverage. Reapplications may be made if pest pressure remains high, but not more often than once every 7 days. Some plant species or cultivars may be sensitive to the finished spray solution, so test a small area and observe for at least 7 days before broad treatment when prior experience is unavailable.

General Use Notes: Do not apply through any irrigation system. Do not apply more than 15 fl oz per acre in a single application, less than 7 days apart, or more than 30 fl oz per acre per year. Do not apply in commercial nurseries, greenhouses, on sod farms, or for commercial seed production. Keep people and pets out of treated areas until sprays have dried. Always read and follow the product label for complete directions, restrictions, and precautions.
