I tipped over a 1 quart bottle of Malathion 50 in my flowerbed about a month ago and the smell is still pretty bad.
Yes, D-Tox Flowable Charcoal should help to absorb Malathion and, therefore, eliminate the odor. Per the product label, Flowable Charcoal will decontaminate spills of organic herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, gasoline, motor oil, or hydraulic fluid.
As quickly as possible after the spill, apply D•TOX Flowable Charcoal at a rate of 1-2 gal/150 sq ft. Use the higher rate for more concentrated spills. Apply the product undiluted or diluted up to 1 gallon in 3 gallons water, or as required for proper spraying. Any type of spray equipment may be used. For spot treatment of small spills, apply undiluted product directly from the container or from a common sprinkler can.

Is it available in a 55 gallon drum? What would the cost for 55 gallons?
D-Tox Flowable Charcoal looks very dark when dried. It appears as charcoal powder. It is not available in any larger quantity and the manufacturer is discontinuing the product so we are unable to obtain a 55 gallon drum. We hope this information is helpful and we apologize for any inconvenience.
