    Q
What is the shelf life of EndRun Herbicide with Trimec? Does it come in smaller sizes?
I'll be doing spot-treatments with EndRun and I doubt I'll use an entire gallon in one season. So my question is twofold: 1) does it come in smaller sizes? And 2) what is the shelf life after the container has been opened? Thank you.
    A
EndRun Herbicide with Trimec does not come smaller sizes. The shelf life on most liquid herbicides all depends on how they are stored. If the product has been tightly sealed and kept out of sunlight and extreme temperatures, the shelf life is 3-5 years.

    Q
Will EndRun Herbicide with Trimec kill Thistle without killing my yard? How many ounces should I use per Gallon
    A
Endrun is labeled for thistle and should help get rid of the thistle in your yard as long as it is still actively growing. You will use 1.1-1.5 oz per gallon of water depending on the type of grass you have . Please refer to the Endrun product label for complete usage instructions.

  • Asked by Bob from Stevensville, Mt
    09/19/2011
    Q
    EndRun for clover in lawn.
What is the concentration of EndRun per gallon if sprayed in spot sprayer (2-3 gallon)?? Don't know how to translate from pints per acre. Clover and broadleafs scattered in lawn.
    A
Apply 1.1 to 1.5 fluid ounces of EndRun per 1,000 square feet with spray volumes ranging from 0.5 to 5.0 gallons per 1,000 square feet of turf. Like most herbicides, there is not a specific amount of Endrun needed per gallon of water. Your goal with herbicides is to get the recommended amount of product over the area to be treated. We strongly recommend that you read over the Endrun product label to determine the correct usage rate for your needs. Page 2 of the product label has specific usage rates for spot spraying.

    Q
Is EndRun Herbicide Kid & Pet Safe?
I would like to know if EndRun w/ Trimec is Kid & Pet safe and what are the details of use of yard once applied?
    A
You would treat an application of EndRun Herbicide like the application of any other product. Keep pets and children out of the area being treated both during the application and until the product has dried completely. Once dry, you can resume all normal activity on the lawn. Please let us know if you have any other questions.

  • Asked by Wayne from Aliquippa ,pa.

    Q
How much Endrun per gallon do you mix? I typically spray about 20 gal
I typically spray 20 gallons / acre for weed killer. I have a 200 gallon tank
    A
Like most herbicides, there is not a specific amount of Endrun needed per gallon of water. Your goal with herbicides is to get the recommended amount of product over the area to be treated. In this case the product label says you should use 1.8 pints - 4.0 pints of Endrun per acre (the actual amount you use will depend on the grasses you are treating) using 5-75 gallons of water. The actual amount of water you use is not very important as water is just the carrier. It is very important to make sure you are applying the correct amount of product over the area to be treated. Some grasses are more sensitive than others and the Endrun product label does give special instructions for those grasses so we do recommend that you read the product label completely before using the product.

  • Asked by Dan from United States
    05/11/2012
    Q
I need to kill all the weeds and keep the good turf, bermuda & fescue. Seed lawn. What do I use?
Can I use diquat bromide (reward) to burn weeds, keep the good grasses, and overseed?
    A

Our most popular general weed control product that is selective, meaning it will not harm your turf grass but it will kill your weeds, is End Run. End Run is labeled for just about any weed you could have and will not harm your grass.  Best of all, it comes with a surfactant already mixed in the product so you do not have to purchase and mix a surfactant separately like you do with most of the other herbicides that we sell. Here is a link to the End Run:  http://www.domyownpestcontrol.com/endrun-herbicide-with-trimec-p-1501.html

As far as diquat, you can use that to kill weeds, but it will also kill everything else it touches including your turf grass.  You can over-seed after using diquat, but just remember it kills everything it touches.  You should use the End Run if you don't want to kill your grass and only kill your weeds.

    Q
    Best weather to apply?
What is the best time to apply EndRun? Should it be sunny, hot & dry, like afternoon? Or early morning when grass is dewy? What about rain? How soon before and after a rain is best? Thank you.
    A
According to the product label: Do not broadcast apply when air temperatures exceed 85°F; some injury may be expected with spot treatments when air temperatures exceed 85°F. Delay mowing 1 to 2 days before and after the application of this product.  Do not apply this product immediately before rainfall or irrigation. Do not irrigate or water the turfgrass within 24 hours after application.

  • Asked by Judy from Tomball, Texas
    01/14/2012
    Q
Can you use End Run on St Augustine grass in Texas?
Our lawn has had a tough time this year with the drought, now all the weeds have taken over, especially the chickweed. It took a lot of effort to have the lawn survive this year. I do not want to damage it again by using too strong of a weed killer.
    A

EndRun Herbicide cannot be used on St. Augustine turf of any kind, primarily due to the volatility of the 2,4-D. (EndRun did have a previous label that allowed for use on St. Augustine turf, however that labeling has changed.) You should also note that most herbicides including EndRun specifically label their products 'not for use on drought stressed grass'.

    Q
Can this be used to spot treat weeds?
I don't want to spray my whole yard but I don't understand how to mix it for spot treatments. Can you help?
    A
Yes you can use this product to spot spray being carefull to not overlap heavily. You will need to still mix up the product at the rate for which turf you are treating on as if you were broadcast spreading as this label does not provide a different rate for this specific application. Some grasses are more sensitive than others and the Endrun product label does give special instructions for those grasses so we do recommend that you read the product label completely before using the product.

    Q
Will Endrun Herbicide with Trimec kill crabgrass as well?
    A

No, Endrun Herbicide is not labeled to be used to control crabgrass. An alternative that we would recommend is Drive XLR8: it works for crabgrass as well as several other kinds of grassy and broadleaf weeds. Please read the label carefully to see if this product is compatible with the type of grass where you would like to apply it.

Does End Run kill purple violet clover?
    A
EndRun has a variety of Clovers on the label, wild violets and other broad leaf weeds that it controls. Although it does not specifically state "purple violet clover" we do believe this product would harm it. 04/01/2017
    Q
Could I mix Drive XLR8 Herbicide and End Run Herbicide with Trimec together and not use any extra surfactant for the Drive?
    A

On page 4 of the EndRun Herbicide product label, it says that adding spray additives such as adjuvants or tank mixtures may alter the selectivity of the herbicide and may damage the leaf tissue of turfgrass. On the other hand, Drive XLR8 should always be applied with an appropriate surfactant, preferably one with methylated seed oil, such as the Dyneamic Surfactant.  While sometimes 2 different herbicides can be mixed together, it would probably be best to apply these two herbicides separately.

    Q
Does this work on chickweed when it is actively growing? It is about to take over the yard.
Also what is best to use on crabgrass when it is also actively growing. I used fusilade 2 on bermuda last year and going to buy more. Killed the burmuda and it hasn't came back where I sprayed last year, great product. Steve
    A
Yes, EndRun Herbicide with Trimec will kill chickweed when it is actively growing. The Q4 Plus Turf Herbicide would be a great post emergent crabgrass killer that is safe to use on Bermuda lawns.
