    Q
Are you planning to carry Lambdastar 9.7 soon?
This looks to be a lot cheaper alternative to the Demand CS. I was wondering if you were planning on stocking it soon or what your thoughts might be on it? Thanks
    A
We are not sure when our product manager may add Lambdastar to our site but we do carry Equil Lambda 9.7 which is also a Demand generic and will save you a few dollars.

    Q
How many oz of Equil Lambda to use for tick control if applying with a 25 gal tank sprayer?
I tried to understand the Equil label about formulations, but math's not my strong suit!
    A
You will need to use .8 fl oz Equil Lambda per gallon of water in your tank. If you are tank mixing 25 gallons at a time you will need to use 20 fl oz of product for the tank.

    Q
Can I use the same pump for this that I previously used with Suspend SC or will that cause a problem?
Do I need to get a new pump to use this product? I am considering switching to this instead of Suspend SC because, although it may have been somewhat effective, we still have wasps and carpenter bees, among other things.
    A
It is perfectly fine to use any other product out of the same sprayer, as long as you triple rinse the sprayer and wash it out thoroughly. You should always triple rinse the sprayer if you are changing the product that you are using.  Triple rinse means to rinse out the inside of the sprayer 3 times, and also fill it with water and run clean water through the hose for at least 1 minute to make sure that there is no residual left in the hose in addition to the tank.

    Q
The formulation of this product has changed. It now smells like Cyonara, rendering it unusable for me. Why?
    A
Equil Lambda is the same active ingredient (9.7% Lambda-cyhalothrin) as Cyonara and the formulation is the same. What type of insect are you treating for?

    Q
What is the difference between Equil Lambda and Demon Max?
    A
The main difference is the active ingredient.  Both are going to offer a good kill and a long lasting residual though initially Demon Max may have a faster kill because it is oil based. On the other hand because Demon Max is oil based it could stain old paint/siding and it does have an odor.  Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer and is virtually odorless.

    Q
Can I use Equil Lambda 9.7 CS for lawn moths? Sod webworm control?
    A
Equil Lambda 9.7 CS is labeled for armyworms and sod webworms. You should spray later in the evening when the worms are the most active. You will continue to see moths, but it is only the actual worm that causes damage.

    Q
Will Equil Lambda 9.7 CS work on German cockroaches?
I live in a row home and I am noticing these roaches in my kitchen since my neighbor moved out. I was told that these are nasty little buggers and that German cockroaches are different then other roaches in the sense that they are harder to kill. So will Equil Lambda 9.7 CS work?
    A

Equil Lambda 9.7 CS is labeled for roaches. We would also recommend using an insect growth regulator, such as Gentrol IGR, and a bait gel, such as Maxforce FC Magnum, in conjunction with this product. Using just an insecticide alone will not take care of a roach infestation. Make sure you do not spray the bait because this will contaminate it and the roaches will not consume it.

Also, please check out our Roach Guide for information on how to get rid of roaches and prevent them as well.

    Q
What setting would I use for a hose end sprayer with Equil Lambda?
    A

Equil Lambda 9.7 CS can be used in a hose end sprayer as long as you can calibrate to the correct amount of product needed.  The rate for Equil Lambda depends on what you are treating for but is anywhere between 0.2 to 0.8 fl oz per gallon of water.  Please refer to the product label for complete instructions regarding the pest you are trying to treat for.

    Q
Can Equil Lambda 9.7 CS be used in a thermal fogger? If not, is there a reason why?
My yard is 1.5 acres, abutted by forest on three sides. I'm looking to treat the tree line and my home borders with a fogger because of some significant brush and leafy/woody shrubs hosting wet areas underneath, and I think a fogger would permeate the dense material more effectively. But I've heard you maybe should not use this product with a thermal fogger. Is that true? Does it lose effectiveness, or does it present some other kind of risks (like aerosolizing too potent a hazardous chemical)?
    A

Equil Lambda 9.7 CS is not labeled to be fogged. We do not know why the manufacturer did no test the product to be fogged. Keep in mind that generally fogging solutions cannot be used outdoors around homes & they do not leave a residual. They generally kill what is there in the moment & that's it. You would need to fog every time you see insects vs spraying leaves with Equil Lambda will have up to a 60-90 day residual
