    Is it okay to alternate Equil Lambda 9.7 CS and Talstar P every other month for perimeter control?
    A
    Equil Lambda and Talstar P have an outdoor perimeter residual for up to 30 days. You can alternate treating with one at a time each month if necessary. It not recommended to treat with both at the same time.

    What is the difference between Equil Lambda and Demon Max?
    A
    The main difference is the active ingredient.  Both are going to offer a good kill and a long lasting residual though initially Demon Max may have a faster kill because it is oil based. On the other hand because Demon Max is oil based it could stain old paint/siding and it does have an odor.  Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer and is virtually odorless.

    Can you use Equil Lambda 9.7 with a hose end sprayer?
    Can you use this product in a hose end sprayer that attaches to a garden hose to control mosquitos?

    Yes, Equil Lambda 9.7 CS can be used in hose end sprayers. You may want to add a few drops of water to the Equil Lambda 9.7 CS to thin it out before application.

    Are you planning to carry Lambdastar 9.7 soon?
    This looks to be a lot cheaper alternative to the Demand CS. I was wondering if you were planning on stocking it soon or what your thoughts might be on it? Thanks

    We are not sure when our product manager may add Lambdastar to our site but we do carry Equil Lambda 9.7 which is also a Demand generic and will save you a few dollars.

    How effective is Equil Lambda in killing and controlling bed bugs?
    Once applied how does it work? Does it leave a residual that continues to kill the bugs and how often should I retreat using it?

    Equil is labeled for controlling bedbugs and will leave a residual that can last up to 10 days for bedbug control. We do not recommend that you use any product by itself for bedbug control as bedbugs can build resistance to products. Instead you should be using a dust insecticide and an aerosol with the Equil in a bedbug treatment plan. Please take a look at our bedbug kits as they contain the products we recommend for bedbug control.

    How many oz of Equil Lambda to use for tick control if applying with a 25 gal tank sprayer?
    I tried to understand the Equil label about formulations, but math's not my strong suit!

    You will need to use .8 fl oz Equil Lambda per gallon of water in your tank. If you are tank mixing 25 gallons at a time you will need to use 20 fl oz of product for the tank.

    Does Equil Lamdba work well for mosquito treatment? At what rate should it be mixed?
    Surrounded by trees and shade areas on 2 sides of our property as well as throughout the yard. Planning to spray all tree lines and shaded areas. Commercial applicator sprayed approx 80 gallons of water last season with the chemical he used (I believe he used Equil Lambda with Lesco Spreader Sticker. How should I be mixing Equil Lambda for this purpose? Any recommendations? Is the Spreader sticker necessary? Do you carry it?

    Equil Lambda does work for mosquitoes. You will need to use 0.8 fl. oz. (24 mL) of Equil per gallon of water for each 1,000 sq ft area for residual mosquito control. The addition of a spreader-sticker at specified rates may enhance the control of insects on certain species of ornamentals having waxy, hard to wet foliage. We do carry Hi Yield Spreader Sticker which can be added to the Equil Lambda dilution.

    Is Equil Lambda 9.7 CS safe to use around kittens?

    Equil Lambda 9.7 CS is safe for use in a home with kittens as long you follow the product label. The kittens should be removed from the area where you will be applying the product and they can return to the area as soon as it is dry.

    Is Equil Lambda 9.7 CS safe for to use with small children?
    I have three small kids. I seem to have a scopion problem, so I'm planning on spraying around the perimeter of the interior and exterior of the house. Is this safe to do with small kids in the home?
    A
    As long as you follow the Equil Lambda 9.7 Cs product label the product is safe to use in a home with children. Be sure the children are out of the area while you are applying the Equil and they can safely return to the treated area as soon as it has dried.

    Is Equil Lambda CS similar to Cy-Kick CS and is either more effective on scorpions?
    A
    Equil Lambda CS and Cy-Kick CS are very similar.  The CS on a products name means it is microencapsulated, which means the product has a long residual and will last longer outside and is easier for insects and scorpions to pick up on their bodies.  So they are both microencapsulated and both have long residuals.  They do have different active ingredients, which is the only difference.  Both products are very good at killing scorpions and other insects.  Although Cy-Kick CS has been around longer, Equil Lambda CS is our best selling generic product and therefore works just as well for a lot less money.

    Does Equil Lambda have an odor?
    Demand is essentially odorless. Cyonara had a strong enough odor we couldn't use it inside. Is Equil Lambda 9.7 CS odorless like Demand?

    Yes, the Equil-lambda is the same formulation as Demand CS and is virtually odorless.  We have had no customer complaints on the Equil-lambda brand whatsoever.

    Will this product be washed away after rain?
    A
    When Equil Lambda 9.7 is applied as directed on the product label it will not be washed away with rainfall. Once Equil has been applied on a surface and has been allowed to dry it will not re-constitue with rainfall or wash away.

    Can Equil Lambda 9.7 CS be applied on carpets inside?

    Equil Lambda 9.7 can be used indoors and will not stain carpet. Equil can be used around the perimeter of the carpet only but should not be used to treat the entire carpet per the product label.

    Is Equil Lambda the same product as the Cyonara? I purchased this in a kit just a few weeks ago.
    I thought that when Cyonara was replaced by another product in the kit, it would be with Phantom and not a similar product.
    A
    Equil Lambda is a better product than Cyonara. Equil Lambda CS is micro-encapsulated which means it stays stronger and more effective longer. The Cyonara product is not micro-encapsulated.  Phantom is a very good product, one of the best.  However, the one bottle of Phantom does not make that many finished gallons because it requires 3 oz. per gallon of water, and it is very expensive. While it is an excellent product for bed bug treatment, we still have to walk a fine line of affordable, yet effective bed bug treatments. We do allow our customers to substitute products, so if you wanted to use Phantom instead then you can still get the kit and just pay the difference between the Equil Lambda CS and the Phantom.
