    Q
Can I use Eraser and my grass to kill the weeds in late winter and early spring while the grass is dormant?
    A
If the grass is completely 100% for sure dormant you should be able to treat any actively growing weeds with Eraser with a broadcast spray. Weeds that are cold or water stressed can be very hard to kill with any product because they are not absorbing the water used to carry the product. If you are not positive that your grass is still 100% dormant we advise that you spot treat the weeds only with Eraser.

  • Asked by Michael from Greenbrier
    04/28/2018
    Q
What can I put in my spray tank to eliminate the white slime that stops up my screen from using Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide?
It is very annoying to clean this screen so often. I do not use well water. HELP!
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide should not cause any "slime" to build up in a sprayer when mixed as directed.  Keep in mind that once the product is mixed, you should use all of it or discard itwithin 24 hours.  Mixed solution should not be stored in the sprayer.  You can use a tank cleaner like the Monterey Spray Tank Cleaner to clean the sprayer after using.

  • Asked by Wayne from Gilmer, Tx
    02/07/2014
    Q
Picture shows container with CAUTION signal word and label
I am confused why some containers of Eraser use the CAUTION signal word and others use WARNING. This shouldn't change by size of container should it?
    A
Actually, often times the label can change from one size to another just because larger packaged quantities can be considered more hazardous to the EPA than smaller quantities. Also, there are different brands of Eraser: Surrender, Martins, etc- and depending on the brand even when made by the same company the labels can change depending on the inert ingredient in the product. In general, even with products with a Warning label, as long as you follow the label instructions using the product is completely safe.

  • Asked by Vonnie from Russellville, Alabama
    11/30/2013
    Q
Can you use Eraser in the winter? Is it recommended to use when rain is expected?
I bought a 2 1/2 gallon container of Erase. I moved before I used the entire contents and the label got torn off and lost. I found the amount of Eraser to use but not when or where. Thanks.
    A
If the grass is completely 100% for sure dormant you should be able to treat any actively growing weeds with Eraser. Weeds that are cold or water stressed can be very hard to kill with any product because they are not absorbing the water used to carry the product. If you are not positive that your grass is still 100% dormant we advise that you spot treat the weeds only with Eraser. The product has a three year shelf life if stored away from extreme temperatures. Below are the Eraser mixing instructions:
Use 1 1/3 oz per gallon of water to control most annual weeds; use 2 2/3 oz to control tougher or hard to kill perennial weeds. Refer to product label for complete use instructions.

  • Asked by Josh from Charlotte Nc
    06/19/2015
    Q
Can I mix Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide with Talstar P?
    A
The Eraser product label does not state that it can be tank mixed with other products and applied at the same time. Most of the time tank mixing shouldnt be a problem so long as you perform a tank mix test first to make sure no adverse reactions occur in the tank-ie:color change, clumping, bubbling, etc. Per the Talstar P label for mixing: The following procedure is recommended for preparation of a new tank mix, unless specified otherwise in label directions: (1) Add wettable powders to tank water, (2) Agitate, (3) Add liquids and flowables, (4) Agitate, (5) Add emulsifiable concentrates, and (6) Agitate. If a mixture is found to be incompatible following this order of addition, try reversing the order of addition, or increase the volume of water.

  • Asked by Charlie from Unionville Va.

    Q
Does Eraser 41% provide quick burn down?
I would like to know a little more about Eraser 2.5 gallon herbicide. is it a burn down herbicide like paraquat used to be? We can't get Paraquat anymore, they call it Gramoxone. It is not near as good as the paraquat used to be back in the 70s, we did thousands of acres of rye to no-till corn back then with Paraquat. My question is do you have any thing that will burn down like Paraquat?
    A
We do apologize but Paraquat is not a product that we have carried so are not familiar with it to compare it to Eraser 41%.  It can take up to 2 weeks for Eraser to completely kill a weed depending on the rate used and the weed you are trying to control.

  • Asked by Jim from Bandera, Tx

    Q
Will Eraser AP kill thistle if sprayed directly?
    Strong solution
    A

Yes! The Eraser AP will kill the Thistle if sprayed directly. According to the product label the Eraser AP is a non-selective herbicide that will kill all vegetation contacted. This product enters plants through the sprayed foliage and moves down to the roots. Avoid direct spray or drift onto desirable plants, lawn grasses, shrubs and trees.

    Q
Is Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide a good alternative to weed eating around house and fences?
I have an acre size yard fenced with chain link, I'm Not a fan of weed eating and was wondering if I sprayed the fence line and around the edge of the house, would it be a good choice?
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Insecticide will kill whatever you spray it on, but since it does not have any soil residual, weeds and grasses will grow back. For year long control, we recommenend using Pramitol 25E.  Please mix according to the product label.

    Q
Can Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide be used in horse pasture and allow them to graze after it dries but before grass is gone?
Need to kill grass in our arena but we were fearful that horses will drop their heads and eat sprayed grass before it is dead.
    A

Unfortunately, when using Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide the animals can be reintroduced to the treated area, but you would need to allow at least 7 days between application and allowing animals to graze in the same area. Please let us know if we can be of any further assistance.

Will Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide kill nut grass?
    A

Eraser 41% Weed Killer Herbicide is a non-selective weed killer and should kill anything it comes in contact with. However, we would recommended a product like Image Kills Nutsedge Concentrate. It would be a better product for the application that you are applying it to, and you would get much better results.
