Nufarm Polaris controls Japanese bamboo and cattails as well as most other tough aquatic, brushy weeds. It can be used in riparian zones, wetlands, estuaries, roadside and utility rights-of-way, wildlife openings, and other non-cropland areas. The long-lasting formula provided by Nufarm Polaris helps to reduce the need for re-treating, and the low usage rate means less product to apply and handle. As with all of Nufarm's products, Polaris offers the quality performance you expect.

I would have preferred the 40% solution for more cost effective carry in vehicle, however price was reasonable for this 20% formulation.
Purchased Polaris herbicide to spray Privet. Instructions say a 1% solution will kill the plant. I raised the concentration to 2% and had very little success. Basically only works on young plants. It killed a lot of grass that was not a target pest. Will have to resort to mechanical means to remove the invasive species. Way too expensive for so few results.
Am buying Polaris locally, just found it on Do My Own..
There is a inexpensive product called MSM. It is a soluble powder. Comes with its own measuring cup.
Add MSM to Polaris.
It will kill all woody weeds, even Privet.
ALWAYS ADD SOMEHTING LIKE DAWN ULTRA TO ANY SPRAY FOR BETTER COVERAGE. 10 to 12-oz per 100 gals (1/2teaspoon per gal)
Will Nufarm Polaris Herbicide kill my tomatoes and ornamental vines like wisteria and sky vine...also watermelon vines???
Yes, Nufarm Polaris Herbicide may damage if not kill your tomotoes, and watermelen vines. We recommend to consult with the master gardener in your area for which products will work best. You can contac the master Gardener thorugh your local extension office.
Dogs, cats, horses... How long should I keep the pets away after spray?
There are no grazing restrictions following the application of Nufarm Polaris Herbicide. We recommend that the animals not be present during the application and return only when surfaces are completely dry.
Is there any chemical I can spray or anything I can do to counteract the Polaris I sprayed?
The only way to reduce the effects of an herbicide such as Nufarm Polaris Herbicide would be use an activated charcoal immediately after spraying (within hours). If you have sprayed intolerant grass/plants with an herbicide by mistake, you will mostly have to wait and see what happens since result will vary depending on the rate used and overall health of the desirable plants. You may also try contacting Nufarm for further information, they can be reached at 800-345-3330.
What mixture of Nufarm Polaris Herbicide should I use around a septic drain system where tall grass is growing?
For most grassy weeds, you will use 2-3 pints per acre of Nufarm Polaris Herbicide, and you may need to add a surfactant to your mixture. We are unable to give more specific dilution rates without knowing exactly what plants you need to control. You can consult the product label for complete rates and application instructions, or you may call us at 866-581-7378 for further assistance. You should not apply Polaris in areas where it would drain into public waters.
