Nufarm Polaris controls Japanese bamboo and cattails as well as most other tough aquatic, brushy weeds. It can be used in riparian zones, wetlands, estuaries, roadside and utility rights-of-way, wildlife openings, and other non-cropland areas. The long-lasting formula provided by Nufarm Polaris helps to reduce the need for re-treating, and the low usage rate means less product to apply and handle. As with all of Nufarm's products, Polaris offers the quality performance you expect.

Nufarm Polaris
By Dave on 01/22/2015
Excellent nonselective soil applied and postemergent herbicide. When used with Diuron covers a very broad spectrum of weeds and light brush. I would have preferred the 40% solution for more cost effective carry in vehicle, however price was reasonable for this 20% formulation.

ADD MSM FOR TOTAL KILL
By Terry on 08/08/2019
Am buying Polaris locally, just found it on Do My Own.. There is a inexpensive product called MSM. It is a soluble powder. Comes with its own measuring cup. Add MSM to Polaris. It will kill all woody weeds, even Privet. ALWAYS ADD SOMEHTING LIKE DAWN ULTRA TO ANY SPRAY FOR BETTER COVERAGE. 10 to 12-oz per 100 gals (1/2teaspoon per gal)

Not worth the price
By Richard on 06/10/2015
Purchased Polaris herbicide to spray Privet. Instructions say a 1% solution will kill the plant. I raised the concentration to 2% and had very little success. Basically only works on young plants. It killed a lot of grass that was not a target pest. Will have to resort to mechanical means to remove the invasive species. Way too expensive for so few results.

We recommend 4-5 oz. Nufarm Polaris Herbicide per gallon water for pre- and post-emergent vegeatation management.

Dogs, cats, horses... How long should I keep the pets away after spray?
There are no grazing restrictions following the application of Nufarm Polaris Herbicide. We recommend that the animals not be present during the application and return only when surfaces are completely dry.

Is Nufarm Polaris Herbicide better than Catt Plex? Can either be used in a koi pond?
Nufarm Polaris Herbicide is only available in a 2.5 gallon jug only at this time. Both Nufarm Polaris and Catt Plex are labeled for treating cattails. We do not carry any products that are safe to be used in koi ponds at this time. We would recommend that you contact a koi pond supplier in your area or possibly your local cooperative extension office for advice on what products to use.

No, Nufarm Polaris Herbicide contains a totally different active ingredient (imazapyr) than Roundup (glyphosate). A good generic option for Roundup would be something like the GlyPhoSel Pro.
