I purchased the pre-emergence weed control to combat spotted spurge because of the water restrictions in the Palm Springs CA area. Warning-the bag has no directions on what setting to set the spreader and the help desk has no idea what setting. Their recommended setting covered less than 2500 ft instead of 5000 ft. Let the buyer beware.

Thank you for your feedback! We apologize for any confusion or inconvenience. Unfortunately, there are so many spreaders on the market that it is impossible for manufacturers to have a complete list of recommended settings. Also, keep in mind that different people walk at different paces. For these reasons, we highly recommend calibrating your spreader your needs. Otherwise, you should always start with the lowest setting on your spreader and adjust from there. Pre-emergent other than corn gluten is hard to find these days but it's worth it. We've used it for a few years now and it does a good job of keeping our neighbors' 10,000 dandilions out of our yard. Much better than weed-n-feed POST-emergent.

Of course we don't know yet results on product. But I can tell you the company has been good to work with. They deliver what they promise and the website works well.

I used this product about 3 weeks ago. I have noticed that my neighborhood is now infested with dandelions. My property has been spared this year and i owe it to ferti-lome. I have had to hand pick a few dandelionsions but i am still very satisfied with the product. I also used another crabgrass pre emerant. I bought fertilome specifically to curb dandelions.

I've just put this preemergent out so can't yet say if it works to prevent the chamberbitter (mimosa weed) I get in the summer. The broadcast spreader directions were not clear to me. I used a hand held spreader, and the product poured out at what I believe was too high of a rate when I set the spreader to what I thought the package indicated.

Great product. I would recommend it. I had a huge crop of weeds this year due to the abundant rain fall. We have had 2X our annual rain fall. My weed crop was dying within one week. Weed and feed did not do that. I like Fertilome products and have used them for many years.
