Almost didn't get it through FedEx
By Melanie on 10/01/2021
I'm going to use this product very early next spring to drench a mature birch tree that was infested with tree borer beetles in 2019-2020 and perhaps earlier. Had the tree pruned back, the visibly diseased branches removed last month. The tree had a lot of new growth, so it was worth saving. Again, I can't vouch for the performance of the product until I've used it, but I can say that shipment was held up for almost two weeks at the FedEx depot in Portland, OR. I thought I might not get the spray because it is restricted in some states (but not in Oregon). I put out some tracking notices online and lo, they found it and sent it out in the next couple of days. From there, arrived OK. Seems like my deliveries on things have slowed down because they're being checked through at least twice or maybe the courier is short-handed. Kind of unsettling at times.

Needed a product to combat the nasty Emerald Ash Borer. At "DoMyoOwn recommendation we will be applying Ferti-lome Tree and Shrub Systemic Drench 2.5 Gallon. We believe that we are "ahead" of this borer, thus keeping our fingers crossed that treatment is effective.
Kick Oak Gall to the Curb
By Leroy on 10/09/2021
Love the results from the last 7 years of drenching the roots of my oak trees to eliminate gall. Still have quite a few gall balls on the tree but many less than before. Leaves were all falling in the fall because of stress and are now nearly back to normal and no longer deformed and "diseased looking". About 20 bucks a tree pre year is well worth the trouble.
Hope it works

We have some hybrid trees that are part willow. Last year we saw the problem on one tree and treated it and our other part willow trees. We purchased the product from a local business. This year, 2022, the problem tree looks good, but we wanted to be safe so purchased the product from local business and from DoMyOwn. DoMyOwn is less expensive and you can purchase the gallon size. You must get expert advice on when to use the product in your area. You must also purchase the tree trunk spray to be used about 3 months later to keep the borers from laying eggs.

I used this product for a soil drench to eliminate white pine weevils in Norway spruce trees. It was pretty easy to determine the proper amount of chemical to use for each tree from the chart provided with the product. I found it easier than trying to figure out the proper mix of some of the other imidacloprid products that were available. I'm giving it 5 stars based on that alone but won't really know if it worked until next summer.

Restrictions

Was advised to apply to trees in 1/4 acre yard. Measured trees, bought LOTS of product. BUT if you look down in the fine print on the data sheet, not supposed to apply more than 3.2 gallons per year per acre. So now my neighbor and I have to figure out how to work within the restrictions of

Great Insect Protection
By Ted on 06/02/2023
This is the best! I use this for flowering perennials like Hearty Hybuscus plants as they seem susceptible to many insects. I will kill any insect that eats the plant, even the roots. Apply as directed. May have to retreat after a few months but highly effective. Price was about half of local greenhouse price. Don't buy the smallest size, you will want to retreat, at least once per year. Treat early in season for best results.
