It Works
By Anonymous on 08/17/2013
Been looking for something that would kill crab grass for years. Tried every product out there. I did not expect this one to work either. Imagine my suprise when it did! I have an acre so it was pricy to spray the whole yard but was very effective. It killed about 90%. One viriety seems to be industriable. Other products I have tried would make it sick but would not kill it. They should put it out in a larger container. When I filled my 30gal sprayer it required 4+ 16oz bottles. Good product!

Will used this from now on
By Tim on 09/18/2016
I used Drive XR2 for many years, but it is very costly. I wanted to find a cheaper crabgrass killer, but I wanted to have comparable results. Thought I would give this fertilome a shot and I am glad I did. I am very happy with the results. I used this product as a stand alone item and I can tell you how amazed I was that it actually worked. When using Drive, you must mix a surfactant and when you combine the price of both items, I think you are around $100. Fertilome cost a fraction of the price and to me the difference is the same.

By James on 09/11/2015
I use the Fertilome weed out with crabgrass killer (formally called weed out with Q) whatever that is, to control my prostrate spurge. Works great and kills other pesky weeds. I will continue to use this product. It works as described. Good stuff. Jim

Excellent - Betony in Zoysia
By Jason on 04/11/2016
I had a huge infestation of Florida betony in a section of my zoysia lawn (planted from sod eight months ago). This product was recommended by an employee. Followed directions, especially focusing on the timing between mowing, watering, and season change. Two treatments has wiped out almost the entire infestation and the lawn is recovering in that section beautifully. One more treatment should finish off the stragglers. Highly recommended.

Does the product affect all of the grass or just targets the crabgrass itself?
Ferti-Lome Weed Out with Crabgrass Killer is tolerable on Bermudagrass (common and hybrid), Buffalograss, Kentucky Bluegrass, mixtures of cool season grasses containing fine fescues (red, hard and chewings), Ryegrass (perennial and annual), Tall Fescue, and Zoysiagrass. It will not harm these types of lawns and should just kill the crabgrass and other listed weeds on the label.

I have new grass planted last October. It is a combination of fescue, ryegrass and bluegrass . Right now, my lawn is mostly covered with crabgrass . I need your advice to get rid of this nuisance weeds on my lawn that is safe for my new grass and when can I apply it if you have the product that I need . By the way I am from the Northeast, New York to be exact. Thank you in advance.
Fertilome Weed Out with Crabgrass Killer is an excellent option for you. It is labeled to be used on fescue, ryegrass and bluegrass. You will use 2.5 fl. oz. of product per gallon of water. This can be broadcast across your lawn. If another application is needed, we would recommend waiting at least 14 days.
