A specially formulated herbicide that contains three active ingredients which provide post-emergent control of broadleaf and grassy weeds on residential and non-residential turfgrasses.
What does post-emergent herbicide mean?
This simply means that the chemcial chemical is most effective when applied directly dto target weeds after they have emerged from the soil. Refer to our Pre-Emergent Herbicides page for more information.
Mode of Action
Quinclorac is a synthetic auxin herbicide. This type of herbicide disrupts plant growth by interfering with protein synthesis and hormone balance. Scientist remain believe synthetic auxins have several sites of action but remain unclear on the exact mode of action.
Quinclorac is labeled for use in residential and commercial areas, including industrial turfgrasses, sod farms, sports fields, parks and golf courses.
Quinclorac is labeled by the EPA as "slightly toxic", a potential ground water contaminant, and highly toxic to fish.
