    Q
Why can Framework 3.3 EC Herbicide not be used on residential lawns?
    A

Framework 3.3 EC Herbicide is not labeled for use on residential lawns or turfgrass because it has not been legally approved for this use. The label is the law, so we cannot advise you make off-label (illegal) applications.

Many older oil-based herbicides have been removed from the market or are not registered for use in residential areas. Also, most products labeled for use in crop areas are not also registered for residential use.

Please let us know if you need assistance selecting a product for your needs.

    Q
Does this product contain the yellow dye so you can tell where you have sprayed?
    A
Framework 3.3 EC Herbicide does not contain an indicator dye that shows where you've applied the product.  You may wish to use a product like Turf Mark Blue Spray Indicator Dye which is designed exactly for this purpose, and can be tank mixed with you herbicide for applications.

  • Asked by Terry from Floresville, Texas
    11/03/2021
    Q
Will Framework 3.3 EC Herbicide stop the growth of sandbur or grassburs? When is the best time to apply in South Central Texas?
If not this product, what do you suggest? Thanks
    A

Framework 3.3 EC Herbicide is labeled to prevent field sandburs, however, as stated on our site, "Framework 3.3 EC is labeled for agricultural use only.  It CAN NOT be used on residential lawns."

Please be sure to review the product label for more information and complete application instructions. For the best timing on when to apply a pre emergent in your specific region, we would suggest contacting your local cooperative extension office to speak with your Master Gardener for a recommended time.

If you are treating a residential lawn, we would be more than happy to make a proper recommendation to you instead, but we will need just a little more information. Please contact us at [email protected] or 866-581-7378 with what type of turfgrass you have and how many square feet you are treating and we will be happy to help with a product recommendation.
