TurfMark Blue dye spray indicator concentrate. Add a small amount to any liquid insecticide concentrate, herbicide or fungicide and see exactly where you've sprayed. Turf Mark Blue is mixed at a rate of 1/2 - 1 oz. of concentrate per 1 to 3 gallons of liquid insecticide. Turf Mark spra indicator dye is mainly used for pre-construction termite treatments to mark where the termite spray was applied, such as on wood studs or foundational wood or concrete, and with herbicides and fungicides to see where you’ve sprayed in the lawn. When applied to turf, the dye disappears within 24-48 hours. Do not use for general pest control treatments around a home as the product will stain and can be difficult to remove.

If you are treating the foundation studs with a product like Boracare which dries clear, an inspector would have no idea where or if the wood was sprayed. With Turf Mark Blue, the Boracare will leave a blue tint on the wood, which makes the pre-treatment easily identifiable by an inspector in the future.
Allows you to see where you have already treated

In the past I have wasted herbicides, etc by respraying areas I had already treated. This product allows you to see where you've covered by tinting with a bluish tint. For my 60 year-old eyes I like to mix it up a little bit stronger than the label recommends. Good product that saves me time & dollars.

Turf Mark
By T. on 08/21/2012
I purchased Turf Mark to spray a small paddock with herbicide using a back pack sprayer. I mixed it at a rate of one oz per gallon of herbicide. It made spraying the area much easier, I was able to see exactly where I had sprayed so I didn't miss or over spray any areas. My sprayer holds 4 gallons so I started using only 3 oz for 4 gallons and it still marked the grass very well. It faded within about 3 days.

Turf Mark Blue

The blue color contrasts just enough with the green grass to make it visible where it has been sprayed on the lawn. In sunny humid weather the color can fade within hours. So don't spray in the morning and expect to see where you sprayed and continue in the afternoon. Make your own Summer Windshield Washer Solution: Add 1/2 tsp of dish detergent and ONE DROP of Turf Mark Blue to a gallon of water. You can't tell the difference between the homemade and the stuff you pay for.

I would like to spray wood framing mounted on concrete floor but do not want permanent blue stain on concrete floor.
Yes, Turf Mark Blue will leave a permanent stain on concrete and studs. You would want to cover any flooring that you do not want sprayed when using Turf Mark Blue or other dyes indoors.

We have never had anyone have problems with the Turf Mark Blue staining a sprayer tank of any sort. It washes off most surfaces with soap and water.
