Moving the Gentrol Point Source would not have an effect on how it works. Keep in mind they only last 3 months from the time you activate them and only cover 75 sq ft.
We would not recommend applying Gentrol Point Source underneath the dishwasher or any other appliance. The product covers up to 75 sq feet. We would recommend putting it somewhere higher that gets proper air flow. You can spray Temprid FX Insecticide around the base of the dishwasher/baseboard of the floor & it will leave a residue that the roaches will get on their bodies & take back. If you want to put anything underneath the dishwasher, we would advise using Delta Dust Insecticide.
No, using pure essential peppermint oil in diffusers will not interfere with Gentrol Point Source Stations.
Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for crawlspaces, you may consider Gentrol IGR Concentrate instead.

According to the product label, Gentrol Point Source may be used in areas where food is handled or processed. Gentrol Point Source does not have a transfer effect. This product contains a juvenile growth hormone mimic that retards the growth of certain insects making the pests unable to reproduce preventing future infestations and lowering the pest population. Gentrol Point Source should never be used to eliminate a roach population by itself. Gentrol will not kill roaches...it only prevents them from reproducing. You should use roach baits and roach sprays in conjunction with the Gentrol Point Source.
One of our roach control kits would be recommended for roach control. These professional kits includes non-staining, low odor concentrated insecticide for spraying the outside perimeter of the home and inside underneath appliances, behind cabinets, under toilets and sinks, etc. You'll also get Roach Bait Gel to help get rid of those roaches that like to hide. Baits can be applied up high in the kitchen in the corner of cabinets and in cracks and crevices in kitchens and bathrooms. The bait contains a slow-acting poison that attracts and kills feeding roaches, who also spread the bait to other roaches by contact or by sharing food. Finally, an Insect Growth Regulator is offered which will stop roaches from laying eggs, helping to halt the infestation. The combination of an IGR with roach bait is a highly effective roach control strategy that is widely used by pest control professionals. The insecticide must be applied with a 1 gallon pump sprayer.

Roach Control Treatment
Gentrol Point source contains hydroprene, which is a biorational Insect growth regulator (IGR). This disrupts the life cycle of certain insects in the egg and larvae stages of development, essentially making it a type of birth control for insects and preventing them from reproducing. Pests do not need to contact the device directly since the active ingredient can treat up to 75 square feet. On the other hand, the insect monitors usually come in a plastic or cardboard base covered with a very sticky, glue-like substance which will trap the insect and will not be able to extricate themselves while the IGR will not kill the adult stages of the insects.

If seeing current roach activity indoors, using a combination of residual insecticide like Temprid FX along with Advion Roach Bait Gel along with Gentrol Point Source is the most effective way to treat roach activity before it turns into an infestation. Gentrol Point Source may be used in your kitchen. Exposed food is food that is out in the open and is not sealed in a container. You will keep the device itself a minimum of 3 feet away from any exposed food. Otherwise, I would recommend using it in other areas such as on the wall beside the fridge or maybe behind the toilet.
We recommend doing any contact kill/flushing or fogging first, clean and dry and apply products such as Gentrol Point Source. Here is an article/videos for tips on a successful program.
The Gentrol Point Source Stations when unused will have a shelf life of at least a year or so. Once activated, each station will continue to give out the growth inhibiting vapor for 3 months before each station would need to be replaced.
