You should place a Gentrol Point Source disc in each room. For the kitchen area, you can use the sticky tabs included in the package and place the disc on the side or behind the fridge or place it to the side of the cabinets or pantry. You only need to keep the disc away from food prep areas not from stored food product. According to the manufacturer, there is almost no hazard from inhalation.
Gentrol Point Source is not labeled for fleas. If you are spraying outdoors, you may consider using Archer IGR. Gentrol Point Source can be used in the kitchen but it should not be used on any food preparation surfaces and kept at least 3 feet away from exposed food. Gentrol Point Source can be used in and around kitchen or bathroom cabinets, inside closets, inside pantries, false ceilings, near refrigerators or other appliances and refused areas. They can also be used inside a bedroom if needed, it can be placed behind a dresser or whatever is furthest from the area you sit to eat but it wouldn't affect the food as it's not stored or prepared in the room, it will also have no ill effect on food as you walk nearby an active Gentrol Point Source Station and it will not penetrate surfaces. When using Gentrol Point Source in cabinets where food is stored, any opened boxes or packages containing food would need to be placed in a sealed containter or bag while the discs are located in the cabinet.
The Gentrol Point Source Stations when unused will have a shelf life of at least a year or so. Once activated, each station will continue to give out the growth-inhibiting vapor for 3 months before each station would need to be replaced.
