Use traps instead.
By Anonymous on 06/11/2013
I spent weeks bombing our gopher problem areas to no avail. I switched to some simple spring traps and caught the gopher that same weekend. It's a little more work up front, but these gassers just don't work if you have an established tunnel system. For spring traps: I found a run (probing and some guessing near the latest activity), dug it out, put a trap on each entrance, and put a clutch of worms out of our compost in the middle. Replaced the plug and waited. I also rubbed the traps with the worm bin goodies, too. So no bare-handed human smell.

The "shrinking" Giant Destroyer
By Terry on 09/01/2016
I was very disappointed to see that The Giant Destroyer reduced its size from 2 oz/bomb to 1.75 oz/bomb. Yes, I realize the competition at Home Depot is smaller, but they do not call their product "The Giant Destroyer". Hey, if you feel you need to raise your price, then raise the price. But PLEASE do not cheapen the product. Will it now be called "The Almost Giant Destroyer"? Even before I found that the competition was not as effective so I went with The Giant Destroyer because of its larger size. It was not always enough but it seemed to take fewer bombs to do the job. I guess time will tell. But, I am very disappointed.

Gopher is winning
By Tony on 05/15/2017
I'm in the second week of war with a gopher in the front yard. 3 smoke bombs and three poison blocks and he's still kicking after 5 days of battle. I've never used these two products before, but worth the try. I'll give it another week before trying a trap.

Giant Smoke Bombs
By Rick on 09/18/2020
These (or any other) smoke bombs can chase the moles away for a day or two, but they almost always come back, so you are not getting rid of them for good. If you bomb multiple holes at the same time you have a better chance at actually killing them, but don't count on it.
