    Bermudagrass in Zoysia turf

    By Michael on 06/19/2020

I bought this herbicide because the label says it can be used to kill or suppress Bermudagrass in a Zoysia lawn. I have this problem in my lawn in Central Florida. I spot applied Ornamec 170 about 3-4 weeks ago, and put on another application after two weeks. The label states that the treatment may take one to two growing seasons to completely eradicate the problem. At this point I can state that Ornamec is certainly suppressing the Bermudagrass, and it effects the Zoysia as well but not as severely. I believe the turf will survive and the Bermudagrass will die, but do not know how long this will take. I will revise this review or add another one in the Fall when I know more.

    Visual results after one application

    By David on 06/17/2023

Waiting on the other star. One application seems to have a patch of bermuda grass in decline. Works on several undesireable grasses/weeds.

    Works...Slooowly

    By W on 05/27/2022

The product does what it says it does however, it took about a week before I even saw any signs of yellowing on the Bermuda grass I was trying to control. I'll give it another treatment in a couple of days just to be sure to knock out the Bermuda, and it did not affect my boxwood or flowering plants. I'd try it again unless I see another quicker acting treatment...but this does work!

    Quack Grass

    By My on 09/08/2023

I'm trying this product for quack grass control. Seems to be working, but it is slow to show visually. Two - three weeks before I could observe initial symptoms. This product controls a myriad of grasses and I have no idea which grasses may inhabit my lawn, so the next step is to observe if it may control what I consider "good" grasses. It seems to be a useful product for my quack grass issue and as long as it doesn't kill all grasses in my very imperfect lawn I'll continue to use it.
