    Can I plant rhubarb in area that was sprayed with Crossbow three months ago?

    Crossbow Herbicide can stay in the soil up to a year after application. We would recommend that you wait before planting in that area or to plant elsewhere.

    Can Crossbow Herbicide be used for weed control in a residential yard?
    Can I safely use this product if I have pets?
    A

    While it is pet safe if used as directed, Crossbow Herbicide is not meant for use in a lawn.  It is labeled for use on rangeland, grass pastures, fencerows, roadsides, and other non-crop areas.

    What ratio formula of Crossbow should I use to kill grass and weeds on the driveway?
    A

    Crossbow Herbicide is primarily designed to control weeds and woody brush type plants and vines from unwanted areas but is designed to not harm most grasses. There are some grasses it will control listed on the label but its primary focus is to not harm grasses. You may want to look at using something like Roundup QuikPro for the weed in your driveway or possibly a soil sterilizer like Pramitol provided careful application is used to ensure no damage to surrounding desirable plants like trees, flowers, and the lawn.

    How many square feet of grass will 1 gallon of crossbow cover?
    A

    The amount of coverage area you will get out of a gallon of Crossbow Herbicide will be dependent upon the mix ratio you choose.  You can get anywhere from 24 to 96 gallons of mixed solution out of the gallon.  Mix ratio is 1 1/3 - 5 1/3 oz. of product per gallon of water.

    Will Crossbow Herbicide kill liriope?
    I need to kill poison ivy and english ivy that has emerged in my beds of liriope.

    Crossbow Herbicide could harm Liriope. There are not many options to table out ivy from Liriope aside from spot treating with Roundup.

    Can Crossbow hurt an oak tree if exposed?
    I've got vines growing on my Oak Tree that I want to kill but I don't want to harm my tree. If I spray the vines at the base of the tree getting some Crossbow on the tree trunk but not the tree foliage, will my tree be ok?
    A

    Crossbow is a vegetation management product which means it is not very selective, it will kill almost anything.  Although it should not harm a tree when used at recommended levels if it gets on the base of the tree, it will harm a tree if you spray it on the foliage.

    Will Crossbow Herbicide harm blueberry bushes/fruit trees?
    I have several newly planted blueberry bushes, pawpaw, pear, and apple trees, as well as grape vines.

    Crossbow Herbicide should not be applied under or within the drip line of any edible vegetation.  Be sure to apply in the morning or evening when temperatures are cooler.

    Will Crossbow kill hawthorne?
    A

    Yes, Crossbow Herbicide can be used for hawthorne.  Keep in mind that it may take a couple of weeks to notice results and may require a second application in 30 days for hardier, woody plants such as hawthorne.

    If Crossbow has been used on horse pasture, will the manure contain this weed killer?
    The manure is intended for the garden and will be aged. I am concerned about the safety of using manure from horses grazing on Crossbow treated pasture.

    Crossbow Herbicide can persist in the soil up to 1 year after application so it would not be recommended to use any manure that could have been sprayed for an edible garden area.

    Can I apply Crossbow with wick applicator

    Crossbow  can be applied by all types of sprayers, from hand-held models to tractor-mounted spray rigs. While we don't talk to a lot of customers using that method of application equipment, there is nothing prohibiting the product from being used that way for their direct spot treatment needs.

    How does crossbow kill plants ? How soon can I plant shrubs and trees in treated area?
    Are there any precaution to avoid killing desired plants after treating with crossbow such as soil mused to plant shrubs and trees. Some of our evergreen trees have exposed roots , will crossbow harm tree if spray on roots?

    Since Crossbow Herbicide is a non-selective herbicide, it will kill whatever it is sprayed on.  It's recommended to keep it at least a couple feet away from desired ornamentals, bushes, trees, shrubs, etc. Additionally, be sure you're applying the product on a non-windy day, as spray drift can harm desirables.

    Will Crossbow Herbicide kill Asiatic/Oriental Bittersweet?
    It's roots are literally under my entire lawn, and who knows how far reaching, crisscrossing, some nearly an inch in diameter, and lengths in the hundreds of feet. I got it "visually" under control in the front of the property, though it decided to invade the back. I've discovered it's roots have punctured through other plants' roots/tubers, like the daylillies or peonies. IT MUST BE STOPPED!!!

    Asiatic/Oriental Bittersweet is an invasive species and difficult to eradicate and control. We recommend that you speak to the manufacturer Dow AgroSciences for information on treating with Crossbow as it is not listed on the label. They can be reached at 800.992.5594.     What is the mixture for a one quart solution of Crossbow for a small patch of blackberries?

    Does it kill Japanese barberry?
    I have acres of woods being taken over by barberry. I last sprayed with Cleanout but some shoots are returning. I need a real killing spray.

    Unfortunately we do not carry any products labeled to treat Japanese Barberry. However, after doing some research on a couple university websites, we have found 2 active ingredients that have been known to kill Japanese Barberry. Cutting the stump and applying products with the Active Ingredients,  Glyphosate or Triclopyr has been shown to have great results for killing Japanese Barberry. Crossbow does contain the active ingrdient Triclopyr.  We recommend contacting your local extension office to get a confirmation that this would give you the results you are looking for.

    My husband sprayed trumpet vines 3 -4 ft from grapes with Crossbow, how can I stop it from getting yellow and wilting?
    I noticed the yellow leaves are more under and not on top of the grape vines
    A

    As long as Crossbow is not applied directly to the grapes or the drift did not contact the grapes that would not be the cause of the yellow and wilting leaves.  It would be best to further examine the grape vines to confirm if a disease or other issue could be the cause.
