    Q
What are the main differences between the HexPro Termite System and the Advance System?
This one looks much easier to use and is very similar to the ones being used by the professional exterminators, Sentricon I believe.
    A
The HexPro Termite Baiting System and the Advance Termite Baiting System are made by different manufacturers but they work equally as well at eliminating Termite colonies. However, the HexPro only uses the wood monitors where the Advance Termite Baiting System uses both the wood monitor and a compressed celulosic inspection cartridge. The cellulosic inspection cartridge offers termites a different form of wood to feed on and allows the user to look through the inspection cartridge to monitor termite activity.

  • Asked by Gerald from Atlanta

    Q
How does the wood in the HexPro Termite Baiting System look when termites have been there?
My wood baits have some evidence of being eaten but no termites are present and most of the wood is intact. Is this evidence of termites or some other creature?
    A

Typically if subterranean termites are utilizing a HexPro Termite Baiting System you would see not only damage but soil that has been brought into the station, and the termites moving along within it. If you are unsure you are welcome to send an email with a clear well focused picture attached to support@domyown.com for us to take a look and see if any other signs can be found.

    Q
Crazy Question-Millipede use with HexPro Termite Baiting System
I have no identified termites but I do have a creek and a pond and with that a huge milipede infestation. Assuming these are reusable and refillable, would they be useful to fill with Maxthor for millipedes to assist with under soil treatment?
    A

You do not want to use a pyrethroid drench near a creek or pond around the stations, it could contaminate the bait and make it less attractive to the termites. You could drench other areas of your yard, but if you want to treat in/around the immediate vicinity of the station, you would need to use a bait like Intice 10
