    Can Hi-yield 2,4-D be safely used near a stream?
    I need to control Morning glory along our creek and replant with natives.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer can be applied to and near the following areas: Lawns Ponds, Drainage Ditchbanks, Pastures, Rangelands, Golf Courses, Cemeteries and Parks. Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is labeled for morningglory and should be applied when the weeds are actively growing and healthy.  It should not be applied when the weather is cooling down and growth is dormant.

    How long should they be kept off the grass after applying Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer?
    My ducks forage our lawn.

    All pets should remain out of the area until the surfaces are completely dry after the Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer application.

    Can Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer be used on Centipede or Zoysia grass?

     Hi Yield 2, 4-D is not safe to be used on sensitive grasses such as Zoysia, Centipede and St. Augustine.  If you'd like to give us more information about the weeds you need to treat, we'd be happy to help you find an alternative product to use.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer does not list monkey grass/liriope as a tolerable species so we could not recommend the application. Please provide the targeted weed(s) for an alternate recommendation. Thank you!

    How soon can I reseed my lawn after applying Hi-Yield 2,4-D?

    Per the product label for Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer: Reseeding of lawns should be delayed following treatment. With spring application, reseed in the fall. With fall application, reseed in the spring.

    How do I mix Hi-Yield 2,4-D on my yard for dollar weed, clover and many more?
    I do no want to hurt my grass. Have lots of weeds in my centipede grass.

    Per the product label of Hi-Yield 2,4-D Selective Weed Killer: To control broadleaf weeds in small areas with a hand sprayer, use 1 pint (4 fluid ounces) of this product in 3 gallons (3/4 gallon) of water and spray to thoroughly wet all foliage. We suggest that you do not spray on Centipede if it is stressed from high heat, drought, or disease. For broadcast applications on turfgrasses, you can use 1 gallon of concentrate in 15 gallons of water per Acre.

    Will Hi - Yield 2, 4 - D kill crabgrass?

    Hi - Yield 2, 4 - D is not labeled for crabgrass.  We would recommend using a product containing the active ingredient quinclorac for crabgrass.  QuinKill Max would be a good option.

    Hi - Yield 2, 4 - D Selective Weed Killer is a broadleaf weed killer only and will not affect grasses such as goosegrass.

    Will Hi-Yield 2-4-D kill mulberry weedbwithout harming ferns and flowers?

    Hi - Yield 2, 4 - D Selective Weed Killer is not labeled to control mulberry.  It can harm desirable ferns and flowers if sprayed directly or contacted by drift.  If the mulberry is too entwined with the desirable plants, it would be best to hand pull.

    How well does Hi Yield 2,4 D work on bindweed?
    A

    Hi Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is labeled to control bindweed and would be treated at the rate of 2.9 oz per 1000 sq/ft in 1-2 gallons of water. Bindweed is best controlled when it’s young and low to the ground and often will require multiple retreatments to see full results.

    my yard which is large, is covered with wild onions and garlic, how long to kill it.
    I plan to purchase a pull behind mower sprayer,and purchase the Hi-yield 2 4-d from you. how long to kill the onions etc. This has grown into a large problem and I need your help. I started to get lawn care service to check this out but I don't think I could afford their service. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    Depending on the age of the plant and the health of the plant it can take 2-4 weeks to see results after using Hi Yield 2, 4 D Selective Weed Killer.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer are as follows:

    For Spot treatment in non-crop areas: Use 1 pint in 3 gallons of water or 4 oz. in 3/4 gallon in a hand sprayer. In pastures and rangeland: Use 3 to 4 oz. in 1 to 3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. On Ornamental Turf: Use 16 oz. in 1 to 8 gallons of water per 2,725 sq. ft. or 2 gallons in 15 to 50 gallons per acre. DO NOT apply at wind speed greater than 15 mph or temperatures above 90 degrees F. See product label for complete application instructions.

    How much water and Hi Yield 2, 4-D do I use for 1000 acres?

    Per the Hi Yield 2, 4-D Product Label:

    In pastures and rangeland: Use 3 to 4 oz. in 1 to 3 gallons of water per 1,000 sq. ft. 
    On Ornamental Turf: Use 16 oz. in 1 to 8 gallons of water per 2,725 sq. ft. or 2 gallons in 15 to 50 gallons per Acre.
    DO NOT apply at wind speed greater than 15 mph or temperatures above 90 degrees F. 

    So you will be using roughly 30-50 gallons of water and using about 2 gallons of concentrate per Acre.
