    Does Shredder Amine 4 compared to Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer to kill clover?
    Spraying 30 acre pasture, 1 person says Shredder 2 4 D LV4 kills clover while another person says it does not, 1st person recommends Amine 4 to leave clover for the cows, which is correct?

    Unfortunately, we do not carry Shredder Amine 4 however, after reading the label online it is labeled for annual yellow sweet clover only and so is the Hi-Yield 2,4-D Selective Weed Killer. So they both would kill clover that is in a pasture environment as long as it the sweet clover variety. Should it be another variety it most may or may not kill those.

    What is the mix ratio for a pond application with Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer?
    Have 5.5 - 6 acre pond. Need to know mix ratio for coontail. Average water depth 4 feet.

    The mixing rate of Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is 1 gallon of product is 25 gallons of water per acre. It is recommended that you treat 1/3 to 1/2 of the water area in a single treatment. Wait at least 21 days to do the next part of your pond.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is a selective post emergent herbicide so applications may be continued as long as the weeds are actively growing. We recommend contacting your local co-operative extension office for application times in your region.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D can be used on established fescue grass as directed. Do not apply when temperatures are over 90 degrees F.

    Will Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer kill wild violets and wild strawberry (weed) in established lawns?
    A

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer is not labeled to control wild violet but can kill wild strawberry in lawns.  A product like 3 Way Max would be good for the wild violet and could possibly kill the wild strawberry.  Most products that contain 2,4-d would likely control the strawberries without harming your grass.

    I want to spray my cenipede lawn to kill sand burrs. Is this the product I need?

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer cannot be applied on sensitive grasses such as Zoysia, Centipede and St. Augustine. To prevent sandburs you should apply Barricade as a pre-emergent in the late fall. Be sure to read over the Barricade product label to make sure your grass species is listed as a tolerant variety. Sandburs are easier to prevent than to try to get rid of once they have invaded your yard.

    I need to get rid of dandelions in an evergreen border bed.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer states on the product label: Do not use on dichondra or other herbaceous ground covers, it should be fine over evergreen ground covers.

    How much water do I use per acre of Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer?
    Using 2 quarts of 2,4-D per acre of horse hay, the amount of 2,4-D per acre came from MSU field crop educator but he didn't tell me how much water per acre.

    Per the product label for Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer: In established pastures and rangelands, use 1 gallon of this product in 15 gallons of water per acre per application per site.  The preharvest interval (PHI) is 7 days (cut forage for hay).

    I am trying to get rid of the honeysuckle invading my juniper but not kill the juniper.

    Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer can be harmful to junipers. Your best option is to try to spot treat with Roundup.

    How can you call this "Hi-Yield" when the active ingredient (dimethylamine salt of 2,4-dichlorophenoxyacetic acid) is only 11.84%? Most competing products have a concentration of four times that! More like Low-Yield?

    How long is Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer effective once mixed in the tank? How long can I keep it mixed before I use it?

    Once Hi-Yield 2, 4-D Selective Weed Killer has been mixed with water, we recommend using all of the mixed solution within 24 hours. Any solution that has not been used after 24 hours should be discarded.

    What is the rate of Hi - Yield 2, 4 - D Selective Weed Killer, using a hose end sprayer?
    There were no instructions for a hose end sprayer with a dial for oz per gallon of water.

    You can apply Hi - Yield 2, 4 - D Selective Weed Killer in a hose end applicator although you will not get as even and thorough coverage as you would with a hand pump sprayer. The mix ratio for this product is roughly 3 ounces per gallon of water per thousand square feet.
