HOW TO USE

  • Water thoroughly after every application.
  • Avoid contact with trunks and stems of plants.
  • 1/2 pound equals 1 cup.

Lawns:

Fertilize established lawns with up to 2 cups for every 200 sq. ft. or the entire bag for 4,000 sq. ft.

  • For new lawn establishment: apply up to 2½ cups for every 200 sq. ft or the entire bag on 3200 sq. ft. and incorporate to a depth of 2 to 3 inches.
  • Not for use on lawns in the state of Washington and Florida.

Trees:

Fertilize trees in the early spring as buds break. Make a second application 6 to 8 weeks later. Apply a fall application when leaves begin to turn color and drop. Apply at drip line and outward, not up against the trunk.

  • For small trees less than 3 inches in diameter: apply 1/2 pound per inch of diameter.
  • For larger trees: apply 1 to 1 1/2 pounds per inch of trunk diameter.
  • Measure tree diameter at 3 to 4 ft. above the ground.
  • For evergreen trees: apply at a half rate.

Fruit, Nut:

Fertilize fruit and nut trees twice per year. Just before bud break in the spring and again in the fall after leaves begin to drop. Apply evenly under drip line, not up against the trunk of the tree.

  • For trees 5 years or younger: apply 1/2 pound per 3 feet of height.
  • For older trees: use 3/4 pound per 3 feet of height, with a maximum of 4 1/2 pounds per tree.

Citrus:

Fertilize citrus trees starting in late February or early March, then repeat every 6 weeks up to 4 times.

  • For trees up to 3 feet tall: use 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp.
  • For trees 3 to 8 feet tall: apply 1 cup.
  • For trees over 8 feet tall: apply 2 cups up to 4 cups.
  • For container trees up to 4 feet tall: use 1 to 1 1/2 Tbsp, over that apply 1/3 cup.
  • Avoid the temptation to apply more, this can have an adverse effect.

Shrubs & Small Evergreens:

Fertilize shrubs in spring and fall, occasionally a mid-summer application may be desired.

  • For shrubs under 6 feet: apply 2 to 4 Tbsp evenly under the branches.
  • For shrubs over 6 feet: apply 1/4 cup.
  • Always stay away from the stems and leaves.

Flowers and Vegetables:

  • Before planting, incorporate 2 cups per 100 sq. ft.
  • After establishment of plants, apply 1/4 cup per 25-ft. row, keeping it 3 inches away from the stems and leaves. Repeat application every six weeks.
  • Avoid the temptation to apply more, this can have an adverse effect.

    Brings on the Green

    Never used before. But, got a bag after doing a soil test that recommended it. Put out on the lawn and a small amount in a flower bed island in the from yard. Was surprised at how much it perked things up. This will be a yearly addition.
