Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin is mixed at the rate of 0.04 to 0.08 fl. ozs. (1/8 to 1/4 tsp.) (1 to 2 ml.) per gallon per the product label. For bagworms it needs to be applied when the larvae are young and before they form the bag.
Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin would not be recommended to apply in or around any part of your fireplace. You can apply it outside of your home as a perimeter treatment, 2 to 3 feet up and out around the foundation and as the ants are coming and going from the ground to the tube, they will contact it and die.
Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin can be toxic to honey bees if they come into contact with a treated area. We suggest using Mavrik Perimeter which is safe for honey bees once dry. Please refer to the product label for usage instructions.
We would recommend keeping any animals out of the area while treating with Hi-Yield 38 Plus Insect Control. Animals can return the the area once the product has completley dried.
You will use 0.4-0.8 oz. of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin for ants. Keep in mind that this will only kill ants that contact the treated area. It will not kill off an entire colony. In order to kill a colony, you will need something that is transferred back to the colony like Taurus SC.
Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control- 38% Permethrin can be used outdoors only for cockroaches (do not use indoors). According to the product label: Mix 1.6 fl Oz. (3 1/4 Tablespoons) of this product per 1 gallon of spray solution to make a 0.5% spray emulsion. Spray a 6 to 8 foot wide band of soil around the perimeter of the house. Treat the foundation wall to a height of 2 to 3 feet. Use a spray volume of 2 to 10 gallons of 0.5% emulsion per 1,000 square feet. If mulch or debris is present, a higher volume application rate may be needed to ensure adequate coverage. Note: Residual control will vary depending on exposure of the treated area to weathering conditions (temperature, sunlight, moisture). Retreat on a monthly schedule while insects are likely to be active. If you need to treat indoors we recommend our Roach Control Kit Rotation A. Per the product label: Mix 1.6 fluid ozs. (3 1/4 Tablespoons) of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin per 1 gallon of spray solution to make a 0.5% spray emulsion. {1 fluid oz. = 2 Tablespoons (T) = 6 teaspoons (tsp.)}. For large Ant mounds, such as Fire Ant mounds, apply 1-2 gallons of a 0.5% emulsion to each mound area including a 4-foot diameter circle around the mound. Apply to smaller mounds until the mound is completely saturated. Use higher water volume for mounds larger than 12”. For best results treat in early morning or late evening hours, but not in the heat of the day
