    Q
What is the best way to use Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin, to prevent cockroaches from getting inside the home?
    A

Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control- 38% Permethrin can be used outdoors only for cockroaches (do not use indoors). According to the product label: Mix 1.6 fl Oz. (3 1/4 Tablespoons) of this product per 1 gallon of spray solution to make a 0.5% spray emulsion. Spray a 6 to 8 foot wide band of soil around the perimeter of the house. Treat the foundation wall to a height of 2 to 3 feet. Use a spray volume of 2 to 10 gallons of 0.5% emulsion per 1,000 square feet. If mulch or debris is present, a higher volume application rate may be needed to ensure adequate coverage. Note: Residual control will vary depending on exposure of the treated area to weathering conditions (temperature, sunlight, moisture). Retreat on a monthly schedule while insects are likely to be active. If you need to treat indoors we recommend our Roach Control Kit Rotation A. This kit comes with all of the necessary products needed to treat an indoor infestation and enough product to use outdoors to stop new roaches from moving in.

    Q
What is the mixing ratio of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin for spraying ants?
    A

You will use 0.4-0.8 oz. of Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin for ants. Keep in mind that this will only kill ants that contact the treated area. Q
My fire place exhaust metal tube from attic upward to out side has black ants. Can I spray with Hi-Yield 38?
Just purchased your Hi-Yield 38, at the advice from my farm store. They said I could spray my exhaust tube with H-Yield 38 with no problem. Was I told wrong??
    A

Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin would not be recommended to apply in or around any part of your fireplace.  You can apply it outside of your home as a perimeter treatment, 2 to 3 feet up and out around the foundation and as the ants are coming and going from the ground to the tube, they will contact it and die.

    Q
Will Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin kill scorpions?
    A

Hi-Yield 38-Plus Insect Control - 38% Permethrin is labeled to kill scorpions, but a better option would be something that sits on the surface better and lasts longer. Cy-Kick CS and Onslaught FastCap Spider and Scorpion spray are the two best options for scorpion control. Both products are easy to mix with water and spray around the home. Not only will they kill scorpions, but will also kill the other insects present around your home that they are feeding on. Since scorpions have thicker skin, you will need to spray a wider barrier around your home. Spray 3 feet up on the side and a minimum of 6 feet out on the ground. Make sure to also spray other entry points of the home like where wires/pipes enter the house, window frames and door frames.
