    Q
Is it dangerous to use Hi-Yield Malathion in the house to kill bed bugs?
    A

Hi-Yield Malathion insecticide is not labeled for bedbugs at all, and is not even labeled to be used indoors for any pest. It is an outdoor only use product for pests that would affect ornamentals and lawns. If you are looking to eliminate bedbugs we would highly suggest you review our Bed Bug Guide that goes over step by step instructions, charts and how to videos for eliminating the quickest and most appropriate way, as well as going with one of our Bed Bug Kits. The Bed Bug Kits that we have put together will not only help you get the best results with professional grade products, but they provide you with products to use in all the areas of the room that you need to treat and enough product to treat multiple times, all while being discounted for purchasing them together in the kit, rather than separately. Bed bugs require multiple repeat applications with appropriately labeled products until you can go 30 days in a row with no new bites or signs of live bedbugs.

  • Asked by Charlie from Livingston, Tx

    Q
Can I safely spray Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray concentrate on knock out roses?
We have tent caterpillers (ms) every year at this time..Can I spray my roses safely?
    A

Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray is not labeled specifically for use on roses. We would recommend avoiding spraying the flowers themselves, or you could choose a product that is specifically labeled for use on roses and other flowers. Bonide Systemic Insect Control would be a good choice for long-term systemic control, and Hi-Yield Thuricide Concentrate is a great choice for contact kill.

  • Asked by Ed from Ocean Springs, Ms

    Q
Can I mix 55% Malathion with Triple Action at same time?
    A

You could potentially mix Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray with Triple Action, however these products work so similarly that we would suggest using them in alternate applications rather than together at the same time. This would also help to reduce the risk of phototoxicity (burning) on treated plants.

    Q
Is Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray good for elm leaf beetle?
Is it long lasting or will it only kill the beetle "on contact" ?
    A

No,  Hi-Yield 55% Malathion Insecticide Spray is not labeled for elm leaf beetle. This is a contact kill for other pests though.

We would recommend using something like Monterey Once A Year Insect Control II. It is labeled for elm leaf beetles and is used once a year around the drip zone of your tree. The mixing ratio is 1 fl. oz. per inch of distance around the trunk at breast height.
